That's either a fake article or just written by a 5th grader making things up, the Deaths didn't increase by 1,165 in one day. They only have 1,441 deaths total.

agree, they took the total deaths from May 1 and made it a new total, which is terrible journalism.

the odd thing though is the sudden massive drop in deaths nationally over the past few days. Drops are good, but the rate of the drop doesn’t make statistical sense, even by weekend standards. Tomorrow’s number will be really interesting to see, since Tuesday’s are usually high.
And as I keep saying, whether the case numbers start to creep the other way in the next week or week and a half, deaths would be a week or so behind that probably.

still do not know why, since we know it is happening, it takes until tuesday, not monday to add in the weekend numbers, cannot be that hard can it?

 

I hear ya, but that isn't a good strategy which makes me question it. They know this would blow up on them. Why would they spike the ball knowing there was a holding flag on the field that was gonna bring the play back?

 

well if covid tracking is right, almost 400,000 tests today, far and away a new high

 

so the economy can recover before election or he can blame the other side for throwing the flag and stalling the economy. it isn't "they", it is him. He decides everything based on his highly filtered feedback loop and the rest follow meekly along for fear of being twitterstormed into oblivion and/or fired. his entire circle is afraid to tell the emperor he has no robes.

that would go with the concerted effort to minimize the number of deaths being reported as covid. Florida ME's do not support the official number reported by politically controlled Florida DOH.

It’s hard to believe he told the Asian American reporter to “Go ask China”

Wait, no it isn’t. It isn’t surprising at all. I think his wee brain eventually processed that he said the quiet part out loud again with the racist comment and that’s when he made the hasty retreat.

There was no connection to China in that dialogue until he injected it out of the blue when he got annoyed by the reporter’s question. He’s a small man.
