Why didn't you start a thread about it if you thought it was important? The reason why this is blowing up is because a former cop was involved, the local cops tried to sweep it under the rug, and two DAs who saw the video decided there was no crime here ... and people are outraged after the video surfaced. I'm sure your guy will get the justice he deserves, but I don't think there was even any doubt that he'd be arrested and charged.

 

How about giving the benefit of doubt to the individual who was hunted down and murdered? And no - he didn't break into a home. Your castle law scenario has no place here.

And for these reasons, most of which have nothing to do with this particular case, Arbery should have had his a$$ shot off!

 

I've been literally on thousands of construction sites over the decades, and for the thieves, it's not really a target environment. Except for the lenders of course, and they don't get murdered on their afternoon jog. No one ever shot me.

 

A lot of assumptions are being made in this thread without knowing all or more of the details involved.

I don't have a dog in the hunt - just here to point out some of the hypocrisy.

This goes both ways. How many of the African American gang shootings in Chicago get big press? Conversely, there are plenty of stories about white people killed in the acts of crime. So no - I don't buy your presumption for a second.

 

Probably no thread on that guy because there was no inexplicable delay in arresting him. Bad guy does bad shit and gets locked up. Not exactly as newsworthy as retired cop getting a hall pass on murder until video of it leaks.

1. In the OA all the white people met regularly in an under construction home. Including Phyllis from the office. I think it was to keep viewers on the edge of their seats waiting for the gun down.

2. got outta the shower one day & heard something downstairs. An old man who only spoke Spanish was in my living room. I helped him find the house next door where he was part of a crew....I think he was mostly being babysat cuz he was real old. I do have guns. Hurting him never crossed my mind

 

Yeah, I mean, if you can’t debate him, just call him a racist. Solves everything and proves your superior intellect without coming across as being extremely lazy and arrogant.

 

It sucks he got shot, but he wasn’t the all-American choir boy who went out for his routine Sunday afternoon jog like we were all led to believe at the outset. Yet another epic fail for the left on this subject matter. And the goal posts will continue to shift. They always do.

 

We don't care about your grasping attempts to point out "hypocrisy." A modern day lynching occurred, and the two men guilty of it were protected by the criminal justice system for months until the video was released to the public. Why don't you focus on doing something more productive here?
