I think if everyone wore masks during flu season we could definitely save lives. I know the American people won't though because they are stubborn as hell.

 

You said they are "doing less" than the state requires. That implies that Alachua county is less stringent. That isn't true. Your wording was confusing which is all this argument is about. You meant that Alachua county is requiring more precautions.

 

I’m seeing why you are so easily confused by the data dumps which reconcile past deaths.

 

I think people should wear them year round so I don’t have to smell their bad breath and see their rotten teeth.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican, announced Saturday the lowest number of coronavirus hospitalizations in The Peach State since state hospitals began reporting such information.

In a tweet celebrating the good news, Kemp also revealed that Saturday marked the lowest number of COVID-19 patients on ventilator support.

"Today marks the lowest number of COVID-19 positive patients currently hospitalized statewide (1,203) since hospitals began reporting this data on April 8th," Kemp said. "Today also marks the lowest total of ventilators in use (897 with 1,945 available). We will win this fight together!"

Kemp's announcement came weeks after he began lifting strict lockdown measures, yet still maintaining social distancing and other common sense health guidelines.

The move generated fierce backlash from the media, political opponents, and even criticism from President Donald Trump.

For example, CNN published a story on April 28 declaring, "Georgia's daily coronavirus deaths will nearly double by August with relaxed social distancing, model suggests."

 

Any explanation for why the death rate is increasing still? Is it at simple as it takes a few weeks to die after testing positive?

Seems like with the increase in testing % of positive tests to deaths should be declining.

 

Because some areas did not stay at home; people did not listen; places are opening too early. Once you take New York’s decline out, we are nowhere close to stopping the growth.

 

I mentioned offices before that post.i have mentioned offices irt my county multiple times now. The milk aisle comment was not meant with any sarcasm. I was just meaning passing by has little chance of transfer whereas sitting in an office or cubicle with others for 8 hours a day does have a higher chance.

 

No question. I think my point is that if some cities do better than others perhaps the methods should be held high rather than questioned.

To be clear, I support all the restrictions...and thus I also support the decision to not mandate masks because the strategy of choice has worked well here.

I wonder if the lack of masks makes us more cautious about social distancing and the like as opposed to a false sense of safety that may come from a mask.
