Good point. Miami-Dade County is exactly like Liberty or Flagler County, give or take 2.5 million people.

Fun Fact: The combined population of Miami-Dade and Broward counties, 4.7 million, is greater than 25 states.

yes, and that was addressed by the govenor when the reopen order was issued, it was made clear the 3 counties in south florida were not included in the restriction lifting, clear to anyone who can read.

How about just wear a mask whether it is legally required or not? You can frame it in your own mind as helping a local business by helping their other customers feel more safe if you would like.

so it would be ok with you if each county set speed limits on the interstates through their counties, 70mph in 1, 60 in another, 80 in a 3rd?

I believe decisions should be made at the most local level possible. Why do you want governors to force their one size fits all plans onto localities that want something different?

because counties should not superceed state laws and requirements, just as states should not do so to federal ones, do we really need 67 different county rules and 50 different state rules, talk about a prelude to anarchy and what we saw in michigan.

Instead of all 50 states have their own rules, why not just 1 set of federal rules?

because, imo, the people of alachua county do not want what the county commision has impossed, masks, reduced capacities in businesses, hell, they wanted no indoor seating for restaraunts at all.

I don't think anybody has argued that they are superseding federal law. There is no federal law here. Nor is there a state law that you can't set up local policies on masking or occupancy.

your making my point, 1 set of rules for all 50 states, 1 set of rules, given exceptions for areas of outbreak like south florida for the time being for all 67 counties.

gee, what do you think would have happened if the original 13 colonies all said, screw unity, we will do what ever we want?

They would have passed the 10th Amendment?

And again, nobody can provide a reasonable explanation as to why it is the worst thing in the world to wear a cloth mask when you are around people.

Wearing a mask is consistent with the CDC recommendations. So perhaps people should follow those...

Just my not-so-humble opinion, but I say it's because of vanity and insecurity.

I have family there and in Gastonia. There’s a popular pizza restaurant on the main road that my uncle used to take me to when I last visited. He lived in a Town House on a really nice golf course not too far from town.

You may know the family? Most are Hoyles.
