UPDATE: Ahmaud Arbery's 3 murderers all found guilty. Sentenced to LIFE in prison.

Need a little more info but looks pretty clear that this is murder.

 

Arrested almost 3 months after the murder.

As others have pointed out, they weren't charged because prosecutors saw the video. They were charged because the public finally saw the video.

Meanwhile, burglaries ... what burglaries ...

Leaving a gun in an unlocked vehicle should be a crime.

It took the Georgia Bureau of Investigation 36 hours to establish probable cause, while the local police and prosecutors stonewalled for two months trying to protect one of their own.

The good ol’ boys almost got away with it.

As posted above, no recent reports of break ins.
"Fit the description" isn't grounds to chase someone down with an armed posse.
... but the part about complying with simple commands is the most irritating. Citizens can't order other citizens to do things.

This story makes me sick.

There's a movement today to run in honor of Ahmaud Arbery, and I will do that. (I'm in the running community and the request is to run 2.23 miles since he was killed 2/23.)
Today is his birthday.

Also, I think that FB group is a hoax. Look closer at it- for one thing it was formed 3 years ago.
For another I clicked on the admins to look at their profiles and it just doesn't look legit.

The pastors and other Christians I'm friends with (over FB) are very upset about this- posting pictures of Ahmaud and talking about how tragic it is.
(Like Trey Gowdy did.)

This is why more law enforcement heads should roll. Oh, they were appropriately attempting a citizens arrest cuz they recognized the suspects from break-ins.
1. did they ask, what break-ins?
2. did they see the surveillance tape?
3. in the police report they say that they did not mention an arrest when they were hunting this guy down.
4. can't make a citizens arrest for prior crime anyway.

Obviously, the killers case is going to insta-fall apart b/c of the above. BUT, the law enforcement people should also be charged. It's ludicrous.

 

If FB had existed in the 1950s there'd be a justice for Emmitt Till's lynchers group too. Some things never change.

 

The reality is that could just be a scam. There's probably financial scams trying to take advantage of both sides of this tragedy.
