Given that this “police report” was nothing more than an alibi, you’d think they would have done a better job. Then again they thought the video would help them.

btw, I broke out of a house in Brunswick. I’d gotten out of Sunday school but I was to walk to the church for services. My grandmas house had bolt locks that required a key even to get out. I was locked in & climbed out a window. Good thing I’m white.

Should we now proceed to training these fine folks with preventative measures, or were the preventative measures only intended for the African Americans who might encounter such fine folk?

But is that light coming from a lit torch being held in one hand with a pitchfork in the other?

Do you have some way to take a Miles' phrase & translate it into a lovely, lilting subtle bitch slap; sublime as much for what it sez as what it leaves unsaid?

You ask for the impossible. I relish it, but ultimately am incapable of providing that which you seek. Here's my humble offering:

Good. Did they also arrest the 3rd man who was filming? They also need to hold every single person who attempted to impede justice accountable, including the first two prosecutors who had to be forced to recuse themselves. And at some point they might want take a second look into the murder cases the father was involved in as a police detective.

Half joking, I think the Ware County Prosecutor should be arrested too. His *not seeing any* grounds for arrest was just absurd.

Good one! In Trump's case, the media.May have a stick of dynamite in its other hand. Seriously, though, shining a light is usually not enough for some of these scounrels.

    His inaction was repugnant.

There is a thing called “prosecutorial misconduct”. Giving out free passes to vigilante murderers should probably qualify.

Guy should definitely be out of a job and disbarred as a baseline, but if there is a criminal statute that could capture his misconduct that should not be out of the question for this level of insanity.

Glynn County I believe... I live 60 miles from Brunswick and didnt hear a single story about this until Monday... thought news traveled fast these days, very strange how it was suppressed by the department or city or both?

It doesn't surprise me when stupid people do stupid things, even if one of them is trained. This was a "get your gun and let's go get him" situation, not something that involved any upfront communication and planning on how it would be carried out.

If you make a decision to chase someone with a gun, there is still the unknown of how that person is going to react. When you get 2 other people to join you in the armed chase then you've just introduced more things that are out of your control.

The father created a situation he wouldn't be able to control and now an innocent man is dead because of it.

So here is the thing. The accused men DESERVE and will get due process and justice. Many will watch this and form conclusions - I have - but those are just opinions that mean nothing. More facts may come out and they may be exonerated or convicted, but unlike the guy they killed, they will get a chance to be heard.

BUT - this happened 74 days ago. Asking law enforcement to investigate what looks like murder is NOT lighting torches or carrying a pitch fork. Prosecuters were covering up here and only the media hopping on this video has brought pressure to do their damn jobs and investigate this killing.

AND we have people on here bitching about "don't rush to conclusions." There is a factual bias when a former law enforcement official is involved and when a white person kills a black person.
"Defendants claiming "stand your ground" are more likely to prevail if the victim is black. Seventy-three percent of those who killed a black person faced no penalty compared to 59 percent of those who killed a white." Florida 'stand your ground' law yields some shocking outcomes depending on how law is applied. In this study, the defendant is twice as likely to be convicted in Florida if the person they kill is white. https://psmag.com/news/stand-your-ground-convictions-reveal-clear-racial-bias

    Thank goodness for the media.

I'm assuming these fine folks are ones who want a wall, and don't want to be vaccinated?

Well, I suggest the preventative measures we take are 1) secede a state of their choice 2) build a wall around it 3) let them live free of vaccines.
