Have they even been brought in for questioning? Still looks like murder to me.

Excellent example of how destructive vigilante "justice" tends to be. Way too easy for those meting out "justice" to get it wrong. On an epic level.

And some of the reactions to this heinous crime expose why Trump feels he can shoot someone dead in broad daylight and not lose any support.

People can rationalize anything wrt their biases.

I had a question about this..

It was reported that the a grand jury will be selected to see if charges should be brought. It's also reported that GBI is investigating it. What happens of these two bodies come to different conclusions? I don't know how all of that works.

Here is the police report taken at the time of the shooting.

If what was said is true, why is Arbery jogging in the video and not running for his life?

Also where is this surveillance footage that has Arbery breaking into a house?

Also the father is the one who claims to have seen Arbery running yet it is the son who called 911 and said he saw him running from the house under construction.

According to the report there are 4 other witnesses

Maybe I run in a different circle but in 50 plus years, no one I’ve ever met has been chased down by people in pick up trucks brandishing rifles and screaming at me to stop and come here. That seems like a scene from movie or tv show. I don’t think it “happens every day”.

Simple self defense...you don't try and wrestle a gun out of a mans hand...you attack straight on and disarm...many years of shotokan...had my own dojo at UF...but thats just my 2 cents...

First prosecutor recused himself due to conflict of interest. The 2nd prosecutor said the McMichael's were acting within the states self defense laws. He then also recused himself. It is now in the hands of a 3rd prosecutor who is sending it to a grand jury.

Here is the letter the 2nd prosecutor wrote exonerating the McMichael's

Apparently the police had the video the entire time.

Couple of big questions need to be answered here. 1. Why did it take so long for the GBI to conduct an investigation? 2. Was there some king of favoritism due to the relationship of on the parties involved? 3. Who leaked this video to the media? I get the intent but you are tampering with a possible jury.
This looks terrible and I agree it’s most likely murder, I’d say 99.999999% chance. I try not to judge these things without knowing all the facts as stories have changed before but damn it this one looks like a slam dunk seek the death penalty case.

I believe it took so long because of the corona virus. Basically it fell to the back page and the family couldn't get out of their homes to protest, Also it got passed around to 3 different DA's offices each taking their time.
Many claiming there was not favoritism but the original police report seemed pretty slim(post up thread) and the word of the shooters were given heavy weight.
McMichael's lawyer leaked the video. I don't think he got the reaction he thought he would get.

Reading this article might change minds.

There is this citizens arrest law that is being thrown around. About having immediate knowledge. McMichael is claiming this.
But according to this article, the third person, was the one who says he saw Arbery coming out of the house. NOT McMichael. He got it second hand
Video of Ahmaud Arbery's death was released by the lawyer for the men who killed him, attorney claims

The father has said in the police report that he saw Arbery "running down the street" he never said he saw him coming out of the house.
    Police report:
    https://int.nyt.com/data/documenthe...52fa09cdc974b970b79/optimized/full.pdf#page=1

If a 3rd person was the original witness, the father was told and then gathered his son from inside the house. Then it was the son who shot Arbery.

Does that satisfy the citizens arrest law?

Does anyone find it odd that the trained veteran officer and investigator let his untrained son(runs a boat tour business) be the one that confronts Arbery?

For the sake of accuracy that is not Gregory McMichael

Kemp might not be racist, but racists sure love him

James Stachowiak, who is wearing a T-shirt that reads “Allah is not God, and Mohammad is not his prophet,” is an anti-Islam, alt-right racist who has a video blog on which he talks about killing Muslims and Black people while pointing his rifle at the camera. He’s threatened Stacey Abrams campaign staffers (Kemp still hasn’t denounced that act of violence), called Islam “the death cult of Satan and the Antichrist,” and trespassed onto the property of a mosque to destroy a copy of the Quran. All of this, of course, while pledging his support to Trump and Kemp.

They also lied about how it went down. His son was waiting with the shotgun ready for Arbery while "Roddy followed up from behind the young man.
