It might still be the 1st quarter. Or the 2 minute warning of the 4th. None of us know for sure. Thats what's so ridiculous about considering disbanding the task force.

If the death toll hits triple digits by August, this "response" will have been an abject failure.

How many of you have been tested? I went for my pre-op this morning and covid test was required. It felt like someone took a toilet brush and pushed it down both nostrils until it hit my gonads. I still feel it this afternoon.

East coast coronavirus is apparently a different strain than the one that hit the west coast. East coast virus came from Europe, and west coast came from China directly. The east coast virus is now the dominant virus worldwide. It is more contagious than the original virus, and it is suspected that someone can get infected with it a second time.

Scientists say a now-dominant strain of the coronavirus appears to be more contagious than original

That doesn't sound like good news. It could explain why the CDC (and those getting reports directly from the CDC) did not appear to take the virus too seriously before March.

That's a lot of base pairs. I wonder if the coronavirus can do math or read posts on the internet.

Ha, I don't really like going to the gym so I was already prepared. I'm already not motivated enough to work out consistently, then you add the extra time it takes to get to and come back from the gym it just made it impossible. Really hard to do leg exercises without going to the gym though, but that's fine cuz I hate leg days :D

Another whistleblower complaint against Trump. This time, it's known. Rick Bright, the former head HHS Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority said he was fired for first raising alarms in January that were ignored, and then resisting the wide spread use of hydrochloroquine. Bright says Trump wanted to "flood" the NY/NJ area with the drug from non-CDC approved facilities in India and Pakistan. Can you imagine? Not only has the drug proven not to be effective, drugs from non-CDC approved facilities can be impure, and cause even more problems, or could not include the actual drug at all!

Not sure of the truth of Bright's allegations, but it does seem par for the course for Trump.

I ditched a monthly gym payment in favor of a home gym setup years ago. Squat rack, bench, a couple of good barbells, lots of iron, and a homemade deadlift platform. The only thing I really miss is are some of the accessory machines. I've saved at least a grand since converting.

This is why comparison of covid-19 to any other pandemic we've ever had is an apples to oranges comparison. We've never shut the country down like this before.

Not long ago I was fairly confident that a vaccine would happen sooner than later since so many were working on it with much more computing power etc. However, when I started researching the issues with creating a vaccine for SARS I am not near as confident a viable vaccine will happen in the near term if at all..

Same with my test. You left out that they held it in place for ten seconds. And my nostrils were inflamed from my sinus infection.

Disbanding Phase 2 of the crisis but will revise for the next phase. Trump was asked at a town hall in Arizona if he thought this marked the end of the virus and he said No.
