I can't find it either, I just posted another quote. It doesn't matter what he said after, the fact is he said it wasn't a major risk. I nor anybody should blame him as nobody had the information that was needed at the time.
So where exactly did he say “it’ll pass”? I didn’t catch it in his quote. I’m confused because “shouldn’t be concerned RIGHT NOW” doesn’t mean “ever” even if that’s how Trump interpreted it. Trying to pin this on Faucci even though he was visibly not on the same page as Trump throughout the briefings is low, even for Trump. How many times does he have to correct/contradict Trump, before he realizes that he may not be understanding what Faucci is saying? And I’m not trying to pick a fight with you, just quoting your post. I THINK we’re in agreement that blaming Faucci is the wrong play here.

Of course its the wrong play, nobody is to blame except the Chinese govn't. I was just referring to the fact the Fauci said at the beginning it wasn't something to worry about, again can't blame him for that as he didn't have the necessary info for him to infer otherwise.
My county had a large uptick as it has gotten into a local prison (about 25% of the total case count) in the last week. Also the local nursing homes are bad. one in particular accounts for about 25% of the deaths county wide (total deaths).

What he said could still be considered true, had we actually prepared and screened people properly. I guess Trump stopped listening after no need to worry or be frightened.
In all the interviews around that time he said that the public doens't need to worry about it yet, but that health officials should be preparing and keeping a close eye on things. He was doing what I thought Trump was doing at the time, saying calming things to the public and working like crazy behind the scenes to make sure we were prepared if it got worse.
