Funeral homes in New York are getting overrun.

This Is How Horribly They’re Treating the Dead in Brooklyn

Once the inside of the funeral home fills up, trucks start filling up outside the funeral home. Probably no good way to keep track of who is who, and what other health problems could be occurring as the bodies stack up.

We have far better insights into that lab. Predict was in Wuhan for a reason. And we have good intel. Don’t diminish this. Lab origin and an accident are not mutually exclusive.

I not believe you were following my premise that those are already people who were infected and recovered with antibodies. Which means that the mortality rate is not near as high as first believed. Yes, we will have a rise in cases come late fall/winter but with continued mutations there is hope that that the virus will not quite pack the punch that it currently has. Also maybe a great drug combo is on the market by then as well.

In my opinion, there is not even enough here to diminish other than a totally baseless accusations with no published evidence. Kind of bizarre that the Australians, the one country that had scientist and doctors in the Wuhan facility disagrees with this.

Not to be argumentative, but what are we supposedly waking up to? Who doesn't think that the Chinese government is corrupt, doing things they shouldn't and are lying to the entire world about....well, just about everything?? My point was, how does starting a war of words with the country that holds most of the cards....and key elements needed for our health care development, help anything at this point??

you may asymptomatic, I don't read sign language and you must be kidding. Folks without masks in public should be ticketed for misdemeanor endangerment...$50.00, second offense $100.00.

We should create a massive intelligence agency with all the best tools and unlimited resources to watch those bad guys so they don't fool us again....oh wait, we did, and we knew they were lying, and we sent daily briefings about it to the most powerful position in the world...

I didn't say anything about the war of words. I would imagine some of that, however, is a reaction to China's propaganda machine back in early March calling the virus "an American disease that might have been introduced by members of the United States Army who visited Wuhan in October".

My point was everyone knows how corrupt they are in everything let alone the issues with the theft of intellectual property but like you said here we are dependent on them for certain items. .....My point was we supposedly know all this but what is the world doing about it? NOTHING!

A large percentage of the population was unaware of many of China's practices, including dishonesty to the point of dumping a pandemic on the rest of the world without warning, at the beginning of all this. Many probably thought of China as a supplier of cheap goods, and a backwards nation at that. (Yes, they were--and are--known for technology theft and cheap labor.) Congress is far too lazy and stupid to take action unless there is a certain level of belligerent discourse from the mouth of the president. It would be best to not blame the Chinese people, because it isn't their fault, but the Chinese government has to be held accountable. We should not be relying on China for medical equipment, medicines, and supplies. We should be less willing to do business with a country we cannot trust (at all), even if we have to pay a little more to get products in the future from Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, and other countries. And we need to get Europe to do the same. If we put enough pressure on the Chinese government, they will replace their leader, and some actual changes might take place.

My question to you is: how is making nice with China right now have any chance of helping us? Anything that we might need, they may also need, and they will likely hoard the majority of it (and the best quality of whatever it is) and only sell us the leftovers at an inflated price. I don't see any benefit to making nice with China right now. The U.S. is having to make our own tests, our own masks, and everything else we need to deal with this crisis. If we get anything from China, we have to kowtow to Beijing to get it, then decide once it arrives if it's any good, while we watch the world press fawn over China's magnanimous generosity. We need Europe to open their eyes to China's deceptive nature, and persuade them to take action against China.

    Have to chuckle.
Being asked to believe China or Trump? Both known liars:confused:

Is this one of those lesser of two evils choices?

Mississippi has thought again about re-opening the economy after a recent outbreak.

Mississippi governor reconsiders reopening state after its largest spike of COVID-19 deaths and cases

I wonder if other states should learn from Mississippi?

Pursuing the discussion along these lines, what could realistically be done? They are the world's largest economy or second largest economy depending on the month, every nation on earth needs the Chinese as badly as they still need us. It would be impossible to completely disengage with China and her 1.5 billion people. i do not believe that our government, nor our citizens really have the stomach for the economic upheaval that would ensue should the US corporations attempt to disengage without the government backing. Heck, the Chinese are starting to acquire US based assets from semiconductors to pork. I see no realistic path to altering the current state of world economic entanglements. I would certainly be willing to listen to people smarter than me who do have a path forward that is not worse than the one we are already on?

One of the two has his lies immediately exposed by a free press. The other has its lies parroted by the government press (and then repeated around the world by the international press bullied into submission). It's not really much of a comparison.

It continues the supply of desperately needed goods from Chinese factories flowing unencumbered to the US. Also, China has more extensive research data on actual Covid-19 patients than any country on earth. It would be nice if we had full access to that information.

The mistake that many people make is assuming that the country is the government and that everyone over there is some dumb-arse who stole technology to get where they are. I do not mean to put those words in your mouth, those are my words, but it is the feeling that I get from talking to people about China who do not know people in China.
