And today, Jared came out and called the response a 'great success story' We watched China and Italy fall into crisis and then downplayed it when we could have been preparing. The difference in numbers based on the models would would look much different with preparation. This is considered a success story to the Trump family, but I think when we look back, this will be one of the worst presidential responses in our history.
My thoughts as well when they discussed delaying putting people on ventilators. I would think that is a very critical juncture of treatment. Have they determined the survival rate is higher, in those questionable cases, by not putting them on a ventilator?
60,000 deaths in 60 days, if the linear weekly drop in deaths continues it will be 90,000 in 90 days(May 30th) Yep a great success story........mission accomplished!!!!!
I think world-o-meters taps into all the county public health websites (so they wrote on their website) whereas others might not, so they're continually less. Just my guess.
So a day after Trump replies to a reporter that we will be at 5 million tests a day, he denies he said it. Keep in mind, the reporter asked it once and then asked it again to be sure. Do Trump supporters ever tire of being gaslit? Or do you think he just can’t actually remember the nonsensical things that come out of his mouth? It might be he isn’t gas lighting you. But you can only believe that if you think he can’t remember what he said 24 hours earlier. The further problem is the day he said we will be at 5 million a day soon, the guy he has in charge of testing said there is no way to get to that level. So how did he answer the question so incorrectly that he now can’t remember or is gas lighting you about it? The single most important need for reopening our economy is the ability to test. How can he be so off the wall on something central to our recovery?
Updated stats from this morning as of 8:15 edt. There were 7 states with 1-2 deaths and 8 states with 0 deaths.
According to my research they use they wavelength not associated with increased cancer risk. But it is being used as we speak.....
I sometimes wonder if the Trump administration has any media or political advisers who know what they are doing or if they have just all been fired for bringing too much bad news. I understand yesterday was targeted as a big day to push some positive narratives but Jared's statement just smacked too much of the "mission accomplished" declaration by Bush when the battle turned out to be far from over. Just WAAAYYYY too soon to be making statements like that.
They have been finding patients on Vents do worse, possible due to the high pressures needed to ventilate the patients cause lots of micro barotrauma.
Some person(s) at the CDC are going to get fired for reporting this information. Definitely haven't kissed the ring as they are required to maintain employment in this administration.
Trump and Kushner should obviously be more doom and gloom like this thread. Then, things would get better exponentially faster.
There are no known UV wavelengths not associated with increased skin cancer risks. Some just get your there faster. Since the development of cancer is a cumulative effect that is dependent upon time of exposure and cumulative dose of exposure, UVA was once viewed as not harmful and UVB, UVC were the dangerous wavelengths. We now know that UVA is also dangerous to your skin. The only application of UV light employed toward internal virus destruction that I have seen is from Aytu Bioscience. They are experimenting with UVA (340-400 nm). UVA is commonly associated with skin cell damage and even skin cancers. However, there is no science that the articles provided that correlates UV radiation exposure to internal organ damage. I would imagine that the dose and exposure of this Healight device is kept to the minimum. But, here is the thing about this, with so many unknowns surrounding long term health effects for those exposed, it is hard to see how the FDA could quickly prove that this device is safe or not?? That is a good question for folks who understand these drugs. My ignorant guess is that you would then have to do a complete study on efficacy of oral ingestion vs directly putting it into the blood stream.
I'm skeptical for their reasoning. I think their trying to protect some other industry. I also find it hypocritcal that the govt wants to force workers to work in the meat industry while at the same time wanting to protect businesses from liability. U.S. cracks down on ethanol-based hand sanitizer, hitting supply as demand soars
