because they just opened them this weekend and some muni's are closing them again because people were not responsible enough to respect the 6' standard in many places

No link just commentary from a guy extremely well connected in the biotech and technology fields. The docs at Johns Hopkins were part of the COVID team. If I remember correctly their conclusion was due to testing and studies done in Switzerland and Germany.

Apparently coronavirus aerosols can linger in the air of un-ventilated areas for several hours. That could help explain why the virus is so contagious.

Coronavirus can linger in the air of crowded spaces or toilets for hours, study finds

It looks like it already is. Florida looks ready to re-open within the next week, IMO.

yes, provided that the new cases aren't concentrated in the at risk population, ie nursing homes

county manager in Collier County to make presentation to county commission about options for reopening plans here tomorrow. here is link for anybody that wants to listen/watch local management at work. I expect the presentation to start around 9:30 after commission handles some administrative items.

And these fellow Californians should be given flak too. To me it cuts a ridiculous scene.

Being confident about it and actually having data and valid models suggesting it are two very different things.

Even NYC's numbers don't reach that far (leaving aside that we can't extrapolate from NY's numbers w/any confidence).

Do not disagree with your statement but they were very confident in what they believed to be the case and that the testing to come will validate their beliefs. They are seeing things that the general public is not I would imagine.

From what I saw it looked as though all of the Huntington Beaches (Orange County) as well as the northern beaches (Ventura County) are open. It was the southern beaches mostly that were closed and still are (Los Angeles and San Diego).
