Long before Donald Trump became president, I thought he was a brilliant criminal. A despicable human being and an unadulterated liar, yet a brilliant criminal. He understood banking, and manipulated countless deals to get people invest so heavily in losing ventures. And while he became rich and then declared bankruptcy over and over knowing the banks were too highly invested to ever let his latest project be liquidated, the lenders were always the only losers.

However, since these briefings have started, I am more convinced than ever that he is intellectually impaired. I seriously doubt that he could comprehend an intelligence briefing and was likely more worried about how he would look at his next golf outing than what was going to happen to the country.

I cannot say this enough....shame on US for electing him.

Just for clarity sake Seattle did not shut down the bars etc until March 16th and Washington Governor Jay Inslee issued a statewide stay-at-home order on March 23. As far as New York goes on March 3rd, during a novel coronavirus briefing, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today signed into law a $40 million emergency management authorization for New York State's novel coronavirus response. He also confirmed their 2nd positive case that day. New York shut down on what day?

The comparison was between 2 cities, not a city and a state. Deblasio, who is the mayor of NYC has not been good

Savings? probably. But there is a reason that in my youth I sometimes heard pneumonia referred to as " the old person's friend". Often the last health issue many elderly have (my mom).

Two weeks ago I mentioned that some doctors at John Hopkins were confident that the number infected was 50 to 100 times greater than those who had already tested positive. At 1 million tested positive currently that would put us at 50 to 100 million infected at this time.

LOL.....I will do my best to meet your standards in the future Mrs. Hopkins. $7 million was a lot of money for your husband Johns to bequeath in 1873.

37 stares reported 18 or fewer deaths today. Time to open back up sensibly.

it means that most states aren’t having a lot of deaths. That’s what that means.

The state of New York shut down March 22, which was way too late. Deblasio resisted shutting down the City. They was 5 weeks after the City was seeded.

Urban areas are more blue than red. Urban areas are more dense by definition. They are more susceptible to a virus. That says nothing about who did"a better job mitigating" the virus. Yes,less populous areas can open sooner, but other than that, wtf are you talking about?

I stand corrected. A little more than 19% of the deaths have come from states won by Trump. Which still leaves more than 80% of the deaths coming from states won by Hillary. Whooooooaa, buddy! You really showed me!!!

Hurricanes hit Florida and not Nebraska. Ergo, Florida politicians are idiots and Nebraska politicians are geniuses.... by your logic.

deaths are a lagging indicator of virus and 1 day results mean nothing as there are routinely reporting problems. Do we have a state with a 7 - 14 day declining running average for infections?
