Someone did the math on the mortality rate just for NYC based on that report today, and it was around .9. And again, that’s likely a best case. NYC might be a bit unique though too. And again, only one study.

No sir. You say they are not CoVID deaths and throw out the right wing talking points. Burden of proof is on you. They don’t test dead people so you just determine that they are making up causes of death. I see no reason to engage or address unsupported right wing conspiracy theories. Just know that those taking points are dangerous. I hope nobody acts on the falsities you spread.

why would i have to prove someone did not die from covid19 anymore than you should prove they did, they are, after all, being counted as having died from it.

Where would these hospitals get PPE for minor procedures?

All the trump bashers ran their mouths about leaving the country? I must have missed it.
I think I visited family in Germany around then, but I came back.

Most hospitals haven't had any issues with an heavy influx of Covid patients so one would think they don't have an issue with PPE's. I know ours don't for a fact.

But your question has nothing to do with my original statement. I was stating something that was ironic. Didn't say a thing about the reasons why they were losing money and laying folks off.

I agree, the data is probably pretty accurate. But in fairness, the CDC sorta changed the criteria for determination, not doctors and coroners. They were listing deaths as unknown or pneumonia, and the new CDC criteria has led to the change.

You certainly implied, read your post. You also made the typical error of assuming all trump bashers are liberal. Most rational people think he is an idiot, you don't have to be liberal.

Haven't read this thread yet today to catch up, so sorry if already discussed, but....

Are we still poo-pooing on the Stanford and Los Angeles antibodies testing?
Cuomo Says 21% of Those Tested in N.Y.C. Had Virus Antibodies: Live Updates

If 3 million NY'ers really have this thing, then the death rate is incredibly low, and herd immunity (if existent for this virus) should start to help.

Anticoagulation is now a mainstay of COVID treatment across the country. Usually they check a D-Dimer first (a lab test that typically goes high when one has clots, though it's not specific to that) then if it's high we start anticoagulation. Different institutions have different thresholds, but it's been done for weeks now.

well since they added 3800 dead to the death total, we need to add3 million to the recovered total, after all, they did recover.add 3 million to the active cases and see how low the death rate goes.

The Santa Clara study suggested infection rates more than 5 times this. They weren't within the bounds of reality on the ground in other place.

These results are more realistic. And result in a fatality rate of only 0.7%, which is fantastic.

why, common sense is not good enough?correct me if i am wrong. if they have anti-bodies they had the disease, thus they were a active case and now a recovered case, and should be counted to give a fair representation of how widespread the virus is, and how many are recovered, problems?

be here all week, just pointing out it cannot be had both ways, count unconfirmed deaths as covid19, yet dont count unconfirmed recoveries.
