Anyone ever notice that all of Trump's recent press conference on COVID-19 have certain common characteristics?
    Trump almost always:
    • Criticizes one or more Democratic politicians; apparently his current designated enemies are Chuck Schumer and JB Pritzker.
    • Attacks the Obama Administration, frequently blaming his own failures on Obama
    • Responds to tough questions from the press by attacking the reporter asking the questions; the media outlet which the reporter represents; and/or the media in general
    • Uses one or more of his favorite catch phrases among them "fake news", "hoax" and/or "witch hunt"
Been watching him for the last 45 minutes or so and as expected the Donald has performed according to script.

This news conference is a train wreck. I think the president might be simply winging this thing... or losing it.

I'm thinking a good bit of both.

I find my days are a lot better without watching Trump's propaganda "briefings."

The lower new case count pattern seems to have held up today. Good to see.

CNN said Louisiana peaked already. Sounded good.

His way of having a rally every day. It is for his base, not you.

Choice A: keep my base engaged, in part, by using my daily press briefings as a way to speak to them
Choice B: give boring snoozefest press briefings every day to appease liberals

This site just downed their total projection by more than 10K deaths. It went from 93,000 on April 1st to 81,700 today.

This board is so partisan at times, that no resident liberals have clicked like for this post.
People literally rate based on the poster instead of content sometimes.

I am probably guilty at times too, but it is funny.

Positive signs, for sure. I think we will all breathe a big sigh of relief when the numbers really start to crash. All in all, the country has faced this pretty well.

I'm not Trump. Trump is a politician and it all goes back to his re-election at this point. One of the reasons I like Trump is he doesn't try to hide this. They once asked him in a GOP debate why he all of the sudden began unleashing his fury on Ted Cruz. His answer was "well, his polling numbers started going up."

Choice C - Let your task force do the briefings and present the needed information to the public without haranguing governors and reporters. Even the info he presents could frequently be a press release. Reading shipping manifests isn’t really a presidential duty. Telling us the Comfort is a big ship isn’t either.

If yuh listen to them he lists things, riffs on size and bigness, takes shots at folks and occasionally shares something insightful.

Sunday’s appearance was after the White House put a lid on the day meaning the press shouldn’t expect anything the rest of the day. Then he decides he’s going to wing it for a couple of hours.

Shorter, kinder and more to the point is needed. But that’s not his style.

You guys better get all these people on the same page or people will not blame Trump. (MAGA wearing fox news watching Iranian health ministers? Who knew?)

Iranian health ministry spokesman Kianush Jahanpur on Sunday criticized Chinese government statistics on the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, appearing to blame those statistics for other countries’ slow response to the emerging pandemic.

Meh. You picked one post about an hour old with like 4 posts in between - which includes me quoting him and agreeing. Plus the dude, while entertaining, just finished a string of ridiculous posts. I’m sure you could have found a better post-er child. Hope some righties gimme some likes. Lol.

But our impeachedpotus praised Xi for his transparency and sent 17 tons of med supplies to China 3 weeks ago, so yes, we can continue to blame dear leader.
