Today, this day may not be the actual highest daily death total, but with all the lockdowns, I'm hopeful that things will begin to turn very quickly.

Seems like the combo drugs really lessen the symptoms based on more use of the combo.

Prepare for the worst but expect and hope for the best.

Brutal. We were just in Madrid, hard to reconcile this with our experience just a couple of months ago.

Absolutely pathetic. The sad part is that this behavior is so expected, that people instinctively know to grab screenshots.

If the stockpile is not for the states then who is it for? Seems like a huge disconnect on JK's part. The whole point of the stockpile is to support the states that need it.

Study links obesity to severe coronavirus infections and hospitalization:

Obesity may be fueling coronavirus hospitalizations — an expert explains why

This may explain some of the difference between the Italian coronavirus experience and the German one. Fortunately, the U.S. does not have an obesity problem.

    Ugh

So on one of local facebook group pages, a week after a breakout of cases in our small city and CA being on an extreme stay-at-home order, this well-meaning young mother wanted to start a drive-by Easter egg hunt where folks would put cutout eggs in their windows. She created a flier for it too. I rarely post anything in this group, but folks kind of ganged up on her, self-included (I didn't insult) I felt terrible for contributing to it, but hours later and many forceful comments from others and she still couldn't grasp what stay-at-home meant or why encouraging people to drive around the city is a completely unnecessary increase in risk. It was extremely frustrating and anxiety provoking for me, but if there's a time where people need to be confronted, it's now because ignorance can be disproportionately deadly.

And Jared is Trump most trusted advisor. Trump knows everything about everything and Jared Kushner knows almost everything about everything. The stable genius and his trusty sidekick.

I keep reading about obesity. Obesity defined by common doctor charts is not nearly as big as many think. I’m very obese according to the height to weight charts but my doctor says I’m as healthy as a horse. Good BP, heart, barely get sick, etc. I go to the gym regularly. I’d put myself up against anyone my age with covid. Many younger too.

You probably need to say extremely obese. That would better describe those compromised by weight.

No, just obesity. It doesn't mean all obese patients are at elevated risk, just that it's likely. It's like how there are smokers who can live to 100, but smokers in general are at risk of premature death.
