I know why the liquor stores have curb-side business - you libs need it more than rest of us. Keep it up and maybe you'll get COVID-19 because your stress levels are too high. I really hope nobody gets it because I unlike you would really miss you. heh, was that a Yogi-ism? I'm working too much right now trying to save our butts so right now is when I try to relax. The shit I'm seeing in the data is too depressing to bring up. You guys keep up the good work entertaining and making me laugh. All I can say is wash your hands as much as you can and don't touch your face!! Hard to do during pollen season. I love you all!
It’s no crime to be stupid. George W wasn’t bright. The crime is not surrounding yourself with smart people and listening to them. Trump may be the worst leader ever born.
The letter was to his chain of command, shouldn’t have gotten him relieved IMHO. Sucks that he was looking out for his men and this was the result but he will be fine in the long run.
Justin Amash The recent coronavirus law may help some Americans find temporary relief, but it is too slow, wholly insufficient, and riddled with bad incentives and unintended consequences. The law will exacerbate and prolong a devastating economic decline that will harm millions of people. Because most Americans are being told to stay home, the centerpiece of the law should have been substantial monthly cash relief to the people. Instead, much of the assistance was funneled to Mnuchin and the Federal Reserve, mostly to boost large corporations at their discretion. Small businesses will be eligible for loans to help them weather the storm, but obtaining loan forgiveness means giving up flexibility. Some businesses can manage this, but many others will stagnate at a time when they need to adapt. This will not benefit workers in the long run. If substantial monthly cash payments had been provided to the people, then businesses could make necessary adjustments to wages and hours without harming workers. This dynamic would allow them to keep more people employed while enhancing the long-term viability of the business. The law also provides robust unemployment benefits, but this money would have been better spent on monthly payments to all Americans regardless of employment status. As structured, it perversely makes employment a financial liability for many. We shouldn’t discourage employment. Furthermore, the new law will be complex to administer, requiring a lot of bureaucracy and paperwork that will delay or deny assistance and produce countless errors. There is considerable economic and social value to the simplicity and speed of universal, monthly cash relief. I’ve spent the past few weeks chatting with many business owners, managers, employees, and independent workers. The recent law isn’t going to provide most of them the help they need—and that’s even if it can be implemented without significant problems. We need an immediate redo.

I did not understand why they did not pass a bill to pretty much address his concerns - get $ quickly to people who need. & then take your time on the rest. Shit is literally changing by the hour & yet they felt the need for a huge bill addressing god knows what & with little info. gov's gonna gov.
Because the Republicans weren't going to play ball without corporate bailouts out of fear that the Democrats wouldn't play ball at a later time.
Mask hoarder (and price gouger) gets busted. Hopefully, they can prosecute this guy. U.S. officials redistribute protective gear seized from alleged hoarder He sounds like a real winner . . . I hope they have the IRS look at his books--somehow I get the feeling he has done things like this before, and has not reported all his income to the taxman.
