I hope too, but I can't help but caution against reading too much into a one day dip. It's too short of a time period given the incubation period and testing issues, and the overall growing trend. Happens every flu season, am I right? The folks trying to play with numbers can just set them aside. Iran doesn’t dig mass graves for flu season. Hospitals don’t use refrigerator trucks for flu season. Obit pages don’t grow exponentially for flu season. Nurses don’t make tear filled videos for flu season. 800,000 doctors don’t petition the President over flu season. I feel for those who have family and friends unemployed. I’m amongst that group. I feel for those with family working in hospitals. I’m amongst that group. I wish we could put aside the argument; this one specifically and the red blue one that never ends. This thing is here. It’s real.
That is a good article that lays out the vast array of things we should be working on. We all want to “get back to normal” so that people stop dying and people can get back to work. But, it will take much more than an aspirational date. It will take a massive coordinated effort. I’m not saying the article lays out a perfect game plan.
