He makes a new political commercial against him every time he opens his mouth.

This is why I was disappointed in Dr. Birx' flowery praise that Trump "is so attentive to the science" etc. Felt like she was forced to say something like that.

The President extended the guidelines through the end of April. That is another 30+ days. It sounds like he listened to the experts on this.

Cares only about making himself look good. Not about people. Witness too the insistence that the CDC recommendation cards sent to the public be called "President Trump's" recommendations. Now too, he wants his signature on the stimulus checks as if he is personally responsible for this. All about him, not about others.

He's sick in the head and people will die because of him. Yup, I have nothing but contempt for him.

I think we are...but now our county has instituted tougher laws above the State order. We have a managers meeting tomorrow. My guess is we just lock it down for safety...the big question comes in a month or so when the board decides if we can afford to extend payroll payments beyond May1st.

This will more than likely be extended at least one time after that if not more. Everyday it appears more hot spots are popping up and that just extends out the peak time for each one. So where NY might peak in 2 weeks. Any new one will peak 2-4 weeks after that. And that is going to happen over and over.

That’s the new metric for success. Before it was fifteen and soon to be zero cases. Now? 100,000 DEATHS.

    That’s victory.

He did nothing but minimize and dismiss this for months, including that it was just a democratic hoax. Now, victory is 100,000 dead Americans.

While he moves his 10/10 goalposts, think about that for a minute.

Trump just blames the existing rest when he took over. “That didn’t work.” The good news is that he is listening to the experts.

And if we had started addressing this Democratic hoax earlier. Today, I received 2 emails about the deaths and funerals of members of the synagogue I used to go to in the upper east side in New York when I was married and stayed there. The brothers of 2 Rabbis I know are in the ICU in New York. These are people infected When this was a Democratic hoax and it was going to go from 15 cases to zero. Incompetence and lying have real consequences to people. Jews in these communities are Trump supporters and they would have socially distanced if he has warned them of the danger. So, while we debate abstractions, these are the real life consequences of those lies.

He carelessly says things, which often are what he is truly thinking, such as admitting a longer timeline will hurt his reelection chances. So then he off the cuff pushes for a short timeline, only to cause a lot of criticism, 800k physicians to sign a letter to him and just about every credible health expert speaking out. Then he caves. This is a terrible pattern of his, repeated time after time, far worse in a crisis.

Sorry, I'm not just trying to bash him, but I feel compelled to put his change of mind in that larger context.
