A more realistic theory is they've taken their vile comments to other boards where hate is permitted and welcomed.

Sorry to be that guy, but the First Amendment doesn’t apply to a private message board.

    Appreciate the point though.

Is calling a black president “a magical Negro” not a vile, hateful comment?

No more so than wishing death on Rush Limbaugh or grouping half of the US citizens as deplorables.
    You are stereotyping.

It’s an interesting philosophical question akin to the baby Hitler assassination hypothetical (no, I’m not saying Rush is even in the same universe as Hitler but people on this board make this qualification necessary).

Is it ok to believe it would be in society’s best interest for someone responsible for causing deaths several times over to die to prevent that outcome? Wouldn't it be better if Rush weren’t pushing out information that will certainly lead to many deaths? Is that any worse than suggesting seniors “take one for the economy”?

No, I haven’t wished ill on Rush, except maybe a permanent case of laryngitis (I kid), but I find them to be interesting questions. Obviously a better scenario would be for his network to put the kibosh on his dangerous rhetoric leading to unsafe social practices in this environment but I digress.

I didn't want to pile on too much, but South Korea had a test developed by 1/28. Only about a week after their first case. It took us another month past that to get things figured out.

guys, this isn't really the thread to argue which side is meaner on a message board. How about we stick with coronavirus in the United States? It seems to me there's enough to discuss there.
    thanks

I know it's still very early, but the quarantine measures and early work done here in California are yielding results.
As one of the largest counties in America, LA has only 1,804 confirmed cases and 32 deaths with >10 million people.

And this may be one of the reasons. Inadequate testing is going to result in significant under reporting of cases.
L.A.'s coronavirus testing has been a failure on all levels. He's trying to fix it

Remains to be seen but I’m hopeful. One of my coworkers/friends just had to drive down to LA on Friday with his family because his father in law has a severe case. He was just intubated yesterday.

Also, even if California’s measures are working you have to wonder about states not taking it seriously and interstate travel.

"How do you go from 10 to 20 to 30,000, to 300,000 -- even though this is different. Something is going on. And you ought to look into it as reporters. Where are the masks going?"

Who would think that mask use would increase in a pandemic? Nope. Clearly just a conspiracy by nurses to steal masks.

    This guy...

Apparently you are the one who doesn't understand the first amendment. This is a private message board, speech can be censored in order to follow the rules of the board set by the owner of the site, Deal with it!!
