Is it all Trumps fault? Of course not. could he have done more? You betcha. And if he’s gonna take credit for everything good that happens in the US it’s long damn past time that he shoulder some responsibility when it doesn’t and stop pointing fingers at everyone else while telling us what a great job he’s done. No president of either party in my 60 years has been as self aggrandizing yet as blameless as this one. Period. Full stop.

Maybe he will. After all he does know everything about everything and that probably includes virology, biochemistry and microbiology.
Yes. With a 2 week incubation period, you would have had to start seeing cases toward the end of February. So, it is possible, particularly since there is a period of flat line spread before exponential spread. And, in retrospect, the virus was likely already here in any event, particularly if the Oxford model is right (and for other reasons I expressed upthread). This is part of the national failure. We thought we were waiting for something that, in all likelihood, was already here.
MA, ME, and CO didn't receive anywhere near what they requested from the Trump admin's reserve. Florida received everything it requested, then a full second delivery, and is awaiting a full third delivery.
I basically agree with your premise, there is posturing on both sides to blame the other side, but nobody was really prepared. Trump can be blamed for boasting he has done a good job, when really nobody is without their share of blame. He knows he will be blamed by the MSM either way, so he resorts to telling everyone how great a job they are doing. Those that want to hate will do so, nothing changes that.
What has become clear is that both our options in 2018 sucked. Gillum was a massive let down. We should have run Gwen Graham. But you're deflecting from DeSantis's failures in this crisis. Stick to the subject.
Well MA, ME, and CO all voted for Clinton in 2016. FL is a swing state that Trump desperately needs to win. That is the thinking behind this.
