Well having protocols for testing(at a minimum taking temps) every flight and taking names coming in would be a start. No, he isn’t carrying Fever’s water. He is reviewing data. And the data from Oxford is important because Great Britain is roughly where we are. They were going to implement herd immunity and were late with stay at home orders. And Oxford is credible research that has the advantage of time and experience. Neither model says the measures being taken should not be taken. The situation in hospitals does not change the assessments. Under both assessments, the hospitals would be overrun. The Oxford study underscores the need for blood tests for antibodies.

As for Trump’s information, see post 4233. Health care can’t prevent people from getting the virus. It can only treat and it cannot if overwhelmed. And treatment options are limited. So, this disease has little to do with the health care system. Except that very seriously ill people need access to have a chance to live. If they need oxygen or ventilators. As you know. And since there is no cure, the disease has to run its course. And, Trump has intelligence. The best in the world. He bears the stain of ignoring it. If the WHO was late, so be it. Trump is POTUS. Not the WHO. But, he is a small, petty, stupid narcissist who thinks he is smarter than experts and made a decision to not want the numbers who get this disease counted. S. Korea. They started preparing early January. Trump had experts warning him in early Jan too. He ignored them and called it all a hoax to take down his Presidency. If you had experts back in the 80s all telling you to buy Apple and you didn't, maybe next time you'd take responsibility for not listening the first time to the experts, and listen the next time.
