He attacked and insulted Gretchen Whitmer again on Twitter. Anybody who thinks this is leadership has clearly never been around a real leader.

Just saw that. He's going to get people killed, or rather more people. His depravity knows no depths.

Over 400 Americans died from the virus yesterday. How many died from lightening strikes yesterday?

The missing six weeks: how Trump failed the biggest test of his life

Try that article. It gets at the idea behind your question (who knew we should be testing that early) without answering the very specific question of who was screaming about it vocally in the press.

South Korea and the US both got our first Covid 19 infection the same day in January. Two weeks later, and way before the date you’re asking about, they were on a bullet train to extensive testing.

They knew. When the 15 and headed to zero talk was going on, they were fully engaged in implementing solutions. Trump was engaged in denial and PR.

There were undoubtedly people talking about testing in our administration. A few short weeks later Fauci said we were failing (paraphrasing) in that area.

We’re catching up now. Any administration was always going to have to catch up. That’s a fair thing we should acknowledge. But, as proven by South Korea, we didn’t have to wait so long to get in the race.

A RE developer waiting late, bragging that the deal is closing, then when the deal is past the closing date, he points the finger. Where have I seen this before......:emoji_thinking::emoji_thinking::emoji_thinking:

Oh man, now that I know this an option, it’s going make my job a lot easier.

Student: Dr. GatorRade, are you suggesting that we have evidence of every biochemical step in the evolution of complex organs like the eye via nothing more than blind random mutations?

GatorRade: Um...look, don’t be a cutie pie, ok?

That’s terrifying. I should have mentioned this on the celebrity thread, but him and J Lo were in my old firm’s headquarters pitching a branded consumer idea.

I was so unimpressed, and had real work to do that, I forgot I met A-Rod and J-Lo. Lopez really knows how to market. A-Rod has $300mm and is doing what I would do with $300mm, live out my childhood dream. I’d go to Mullen and demand a try out for the starting QB position. He wants to be a CEO / Business Man.

A-Rod’s talent running a business is probably worse than my ability to handle the Gators offense.

If you don’t want to believe my celebrity encounter, just trust me on...

    That’s terrifying.

I also spoke to McKinsey’s senior manager for North America yesterday. Trump turned down their advice for IBISworld.com on C-19.

Also know the IBIS world team, but why not accept advice from both?

His decisions on choices of advisors blows my mind. Happy to forward the email from head of McKinsey or IBIS World to a moderator so I don’t sound like a conspiracy theorist...

Try the Feb. 2nd mtg. with the Dem. Senator from Conn. with WH, and Azar. Note* Feb 2nd. BEFORE the impeached one assured everyone it was under control. Are you saying we need a threshold of screaming pols and Drs. to get any proper guidance or direction from the WH? Pathetic.

Hearing reports domestic violence is up 11% across nation and suicides are up. Seems possible locking people together some problems come up.

Lingerie sales online up on the other hand.

Coronavirus outbreak is stretching New York's ambulance service to breaking point
The coronavirus outbreak sweeping through New York City has pushed its ambulance service close to the breaking point, with hundreds of personnel out ill and emergency calls skyrocketing, supervisors and rank-and-file emergency medical technicians said on Friday.

Some 20% of the 4,500 ambulance workers - EMTs, paramedics and supervisors - are out sick, said Dr. Lewis Marshall, board chairman of the New York City Regional Emergency Medical Services Council in an interview with Reuters.

Most of them are out of action because they either have the virus or have been exposed to it, he added.

I saw that one. I’m curious what “ramp up” so that the can produce 50,000 tests a day. Is that ramp up next week, next month or next quarter.

It is good news. How good is definitely tied to how soon we can get it widely disseminated and in use to improve our contact tracing.
