Pretty sure China's numbers are unreliable. Are we really satisfied as a global community that they are even close to being honest?
No, not at all but it is the only thing I know of we can compare it to unless we took ours in relation to our population vs theirs in the same manner. Even if theirs is erroneous, ours is still climbing fast.
As a point of information we have passed China in the number of total cases. Do not think that this will be a case of Trump bragging that under his leadership the US has become number one. Coronavirus Update (Live): 524,574 Cases and 23,683 Deaths from COVID-19 Virus Outbreak - Worldometer United States Coronavirus: 81,384 Cases and 1,173 Deaths - Worldometer
I don't but if the poster to whom I am responding to is going to throw them around like gospel that I am going to us them in my response to said gospel.
my point is right now we have a 1.4 death rate, spain is at 7.4 and italy is 10.2, so, we must be doing somethings right, even if in coming days the infected rate goes up, we still are far behind them, plus china and the UK in death rate.
What killed them was their healthcare resources being overrun. We haven't quite hit that point. Hopefully, we never do.
The USA has now become number 1 in COVID-19 cases...thank you Mr. President...Can't wait for those egg hunts on Easter Sunday.....
How many people will die in the U.S. due to COVID-19 this year? Experts also projected a wide range of outcomes when it comes to the number of deaths that will be attributed to COVID-19 in 2020. Andrew Lover, a survey respondent and epidemiologist at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, said, “The uncertainty in the number of deaths is mainly due to two things: 1) we’re not sure how interventions will be implemented — there are various types of stay-at-home, quarantine, lockdown interventions — and 2) if there’s a large influx into hospitals and health care workers start to get infected and can not work, things may spiral quickly.” Lessler said that the uncertainty stems from the success of interventions, as well as how far the virus spread before it was noticed and states went on lockdown. The expert consensus is that COVID-19 will cause 246,000 deaths in 2020, higher than last week’s estimate of 200,000 deaths. The consensus estimate ranges, though, between 36,000 and 1.1 million. That’s quite a span, with major implications for American society tucked into that uncertainty. How do we stay at the low end of the range? “We need to protect health care system capacity by following stay-at-home and social isolation guidance — that’s really all we have at this very moment,” Lover said. Something something dead cat bounce...something something draconian...something something globalist agenda...something something King Trump.
I’m picking up what you’re putting down(wearing gloves) but there are some things that need to be considered. Our population compared to other countries. Larger population equals faster spread. Also China is clearly lying and we can see that now first hand although I had no doubts. Seems like we are in agreement here.
