How are they going to infect anyone if others are doing what they are supposed to be doing? Kidding.....a little bit!

Florida seems to be in much worse shape than people think because they're not testing. Somebody posted that fever graphic awhile back, and Florida lit up like a Christmas tree.

There are plenty of tests available now....17 million delivered by March 28th. The issue is the shortage of components needed at the lab to complete the testing process as well as PPE for those collecting samples or in the field. I did see an article that said putting the N95 masks in an oven at 160* for 30 minutes would sterilize the mask for reuse.

Trump killing the media when they asked if he just wanted things opened due to the election. Just straight up told them they are fake news and they would like the shutdown as long as possible to hurt the country just because they want him to lose.

Nope deaths tell the real numbers not tests of runny noses. It gives an idea of the levels at least minus a nursing home situation etc..

Trump says reopen by Easter, Corporate America says not so fast

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump wants America to get back to business by Easter, suggesting some efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus outbreak will no longer be needed by then, but Corporate America is taking its lead from health professionals.

Corporate America cares more about its people than the President of the United States does? Wow, that's the strongest of indictments on Trump.

It looks as though maybe Italy has topped out. Four days in a row new cases were below the peak on March 21. New deaths have been below the peak on March 22 as well. Hopefully great news to follow for them.

Exclusive: U.S. slashed CDC staff inside China prior to coronavirus outbreak

The CDC’s China headcount has shrunk to around 14 staffers, down from approximately 47 people since President Donald Trump took office in January 2017, the documents show. The four people, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the losses included epidemiologists and other health professionals.

The material reviewed by Reuters shows a breakdown of how many American and local Chinese employees were assigned there. The documents are the CDC’s own descriptions of its headcount, which it posts online. Reuters was able to search past copies of the material to confirm the decline described by the four people.

“The CDC office in Beijing is a shell of its former self,” said one of the people, a U.S. official who worked in China at the time of the drawdown.

Separately, the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the global relief program which had a role in helping China monitor and respond to outbreaks, also shut their Beijing offices on Trump’s watch. Before the closures, each office was staffed by a U.S. official. In addition, the U.S. Department of Agriculture(USDA) transferred out of China in 2018 the manager of an animal disease monitoring program.

LMAO.......Corporate America is worried about one thing and that is being able to keep their heads above the waterline which will not happen for most of Main Street America if they are shut down for 2 months or longer. Granted they are not wanting to put their employees in harms way but I would not be surprised to see those with antibodies back at work by Easter. And yes, the testing process of determining those who have antibodies will have to be ramped up pretty quickly.

Once you get beyond the true believers, everyone else knows the difference between formal authority & real authority...real authority comes from being better informed. Trump has very little of either in this situation. He does not have the formal authority to make people go back to work & given his lack of knowledge, he also lacks real authority. Even he probably mostly knows this. As I said yesterday, I think he's trying to distance himself from the cost of the cure while positioning himself to take credit. It's what he does. It's the opposite of leadership
