According to the United Nations World Population Prospects report, approximately 7,452 people die every day in the United States. In other words, a person dies in the US approximately every 12 seconds. I say it's about time we keep a running total. Doom porn rules!!

According to Defense News reporting on a study by the Stimson Center, from 2002 to 2017, the United States spent 16% of its entire discretionary budget fighting terrorism.

How many Americans have been killed by terrorists on US soil? Anywhere close to enough to justify spending hundreds of billions annually? Human beings have irrational fears.

Don't disagree. Irrational fear is the word of the day.

So have you ever balked at government spending when it came to terrorism? Or did you balk at any of the personal freedoms we sacrificed in the wake of 9/11 because of terrorism?

Right or wrong, people are genuinely scared of this virus (which I might add is infinitely more likely to kill you or a family member than a terrorist is).

So you libs are arguing from one week to the next Trump completely changed course and FOX followed in lock step AND he doesn't listen to different opinions. How does that work? Shouldn't the massive contradiction cause pause if not pain?

I think the Patriot act was the beginning of the end in a lot of ways. But how the hell can you compare the hysteria between the two? Perspective and common sense has been totally lost.

Agree. What @OklahomaGator is saying is that any drug already approved for human use is way ahead of one that is not on a ticking clock.

Ok? Doesn't mean the drug should not be distributed. That is on the abuser.

Well just think of all the money you could make by just saying screw your dtr and her autoimmune disease. And this is extreme sarcasm if you don't know.

Just an FYI USA has doubled it number of new deaths from yesterday 46/86 today and the days not over.

Also the global closed case death rate ticked up to 13% I do understand that deaths happen faster than recoveries. But that percentage needs to stabilize or decrease before we can say we are on the downside.

Ha. That's nothin. That would still leave it over 100 pages short of the important stuff.
This is just a pandemic. It isn't like we are searching for a football coach.

Cmon man. EVERY drug can kill you. If this "cocktail" is effective, it will be given in the proper dose. Ibuprofen can kill you, but they still hand it out in huge bottles full of lethal doses and trust the non suicidal of us to take the proper dosage.
