I don't know about 2000, but there's at least one confirmed COVID patient who's been on life support in my Bay area hospital for the past ~10 days. I know there are a bunch more at SF General as well. So no, definitely not zero.

Our deaths per capita is too low right now to calculate a trend. Look at the deaths/day graphs for other countries. When they were at our per capita rate the numbers fluctuated up and down for a few days before skyrocketing. When incidences are low, the stats are simply too prone to be influenced by chance variations. Sadly, if I'm right, then within 3 days we should enter the skyrocketing phase.
Yep, we have already met "yesterday's" (defined by GMT) death total by 4:00 AM GMT. Mostly because that huge rush of reports came in right after the deadline.

FTR Fever was right about the death count. He nailed the number. Deaths and total cases down. This is not compounding like some said...at least not yet. That is even with more resting being done. okay then...I.have searched and apparently my browser cannot locate your stated "plenty of reports" quote. Over and over I put in "plenty of reports", "reports a plenty" and yet nothing. Please provide links to those "plentiful" sites.
