Broke 250 and 275 today Coronavirus Update (Live): 275,020 Cases and 11,370 Deaths from COVID-19 Virus Outbreak - Worldometer
A lot of us on the Insider boards pay good money to get Bacon from Fee and others over there who actually know what they are talking about.
We are 11-16 days behind Italy. They haven't slowed down yet. Why would any informed person think we are going to slow down in 10 days?
This is about the increasingly growing threat of the Covid-19 outbreak. With the flu, we have antiviral treatments and vaccines so we know what to expect and what to do. Not to mention, people don't normally need to be on respirators in battling the flu. But what we have here is an uncontrolled and swiftly growing outbreak, one that is now in an exponential curve upward. Even though a vast majority won't die, the spread of the virus is projected to mean millions sick and a shortage of critical beds and ventilators because we do not have any antivirals, and overall the entire population has no prevention ability because we don't have a vaccine. IOW, possibly Italy. So why not come join those of us who follow the science and put trust in our health experts and leave folks like Mike Cernovich to preach to himself (because he's leading you and his other followers astray)?
Talk upthread about the question The reporter asked Trump about what he would say to people who are scared. A softball question a real leader would hit out of the park. Not an unfair question. Trump attacked the reporter because he could not answer the question. He has no empathy. The question was unfair to Trump because he could not answer the question. That is who he is. When confronted by something outside of his skill set, he attacks.
I corrected the statement. But, if you were in the Den, you would find that to be hysterically funny. Right @mutz87?
Has anyone noticed New York state's insanely low death % - lower than the standard flu now and way lower than other states with deaths that have size. I guarantee you NY is getting a ton of people tested now through those drive thru's that don't even hardly have many symptoms.
Of course they are doing a ton of testing. The governor has made decisive decisions and has taken fast action, inside of sticking his head in the sand like your favorite buddy. Cuomo has saved lives
You will note the response from @mutz87 and I even got a chuckle out of Death @RIP , who took time off from a very busy time of reaping to laugh
perhaps you’re right but people don’t die immediately, do they? given the proliferation in the # of confirmed cases in NY the past few days, more will die over time as their lungs fail.
No he hasn't. -Well this can show people this is no worse than the standard flu in the US at least if testing is done a lot. I figured a lefty state would release "the run to the ER all the time types" once the tests were available big time.
