I don't watch any news other than clips. Haven't for well over a decade.

What I was getting at before is that there is something fundamentally different and worse between politics vs misinformation. Some bias I can handle, packaging I can handle. Hype I can handle. All have long been part of media. Providing viewers bogus information is a different animal that the dude cannot abide. :)

All the "I'll bet you this happens ..." is pretty pointless, because no matter what happens, no one is going to be able to really say the coveted "See, I told you so."
If the illness and death toll remains relatively low, one side may say "It's because it was overblown by the media and there was never a danger in the first place!" or even "It's because of Trump's tremendous work and leadership!"
    And they may be right.
But the other side can respond with "No, it was because so many people took precautions with social distancing, local governments closed places where people would gather and spread it, because through the media the experts warned people about the dangers."
And they may be right, too.
If the toll is as high as some predict, one side can say "See,we told you it was serious and that Trump and the rightwing media didn't take it seriously!"
    And they may be right.
But the other can still blame the media and Obama.

You are too sensitive. And worried that this thread will end up longer than the Kelly thread. Only 39 pages to page 136!

I'm offended :monkey: (no one used the monkey enough)

BTW, I know it wasn't what you said, but I felt I had to ask it in the way I did to learn more about what you were thinking.

How do they classify these things? What constitutes a C-19 death? Is it anyone who tests positive and dies while being positive?
I saw one documented where the man had two heart attacks this week and a history of heart issues, yet his death was officially deemed to be from COVID-19. Probably anecdotal, but still interesting to know how the number is tabulated.

OK...this is totally off topic, but for the sake of goodwill during this time, can we have the WW1 flying ace back? The world would be a better lace. :)

Since I started reading the threads around 6 PM I've been keeping an eye on the sites tracking the cases around the world and it appears this stuff is about to take off. A bit scary really.

Maybe not. Maybe we just wanted authentic Italian tests, and not Olive Garden Italian test?
