I haven't normally posted these types of videos, but my goodness if they don't capture exactly what has been wrong with both Trump and Fox. Hypocrisy, raging ignorance and misinformation, false indignation, conspiracy mongering, the list goes on and on.
Faux news is exactly what it is. Some of the folks reiterating their talking points here need to catch up with the right half of the screen.
I’m not suggesting to saint him. He’s dodging responsibility for things but the overt lying about the risks aren’t his primary message and the government is starting to support the states. That’s a 180.
And the same type of videos exist for CNN and MSNBC the other way. These outlets now put together these videos to attack each other. This is why we can't trust our "news" sources. Journalism is dead.
This isn't good news. Study says the virus can linger on surfaces for hours, even days. In others, if you touch something that someone with the virus touched. New coronavirus stable for hours on surfaces
There are videos showing Fox dismissing the virus before suddenly deciding, along with Trump, that it's serious. Are you saying there's videos of CNN acting like the virus is serious and then deciding it's not? I think we've all seen the video showing Fox hosts and commentators outraged that Obama would dare meet with dictators, then praising Trump for meeting with those same dictators. Are there videos of CNN doing a similar reversal? I'm not saying there's definitely not. But I'm guessing that if they existed, they'd be posted everywhere. And I don't think that's happened.
Then believe this. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/europe/a-chilling-scientific-paper-helped-upend-us-and-uk-coronavirus-strategies/2020/03/17/aaa84116-6851-11ea-b199-3a9799c54512_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-banner-main_virusukreport702pm:homepage/story-ans https://www.imperial.ac.uk/media/im...-College-COVID19-NPI-modelling-16-03-2020.pdf Because science doesn’t care what you believe.
You can't win. If the death toll is light, only the quick thinking of brave alarmists and liberal firebrands holding Trump's feet to the fire will have saved half the country from dying, and so we must do it all again next year and forever after.
Very fine people on both sides? Nah. All media outlets make mistakes. Fox is on a different level, in the Trump era it's a stretch to even call it a journalistic organization. They may as well be Breitbart or Conservative treehouse or wherever other nonsense the far right get their daily fix of hate. This is why they have those conflicts between their "news" and their "opinion" hosts. The opinion hosts have gone so far off the reservation that we call reality, it's been more like Orwellian propaganda for years now, it just really came to a head in the last week or so with some extremely embarrassing moments for them. Sadly I expect that to change nothing.
Doesn’t matter how smart they are. They are going to rely on information they get. If they get bad information and don’t know it, they will rely on it or not act on it. We had a Congressman wearing a gas mask. Nobody said they were stupid.
all that minimization and misinformation falls into the same irresponsible category as yelling "fire" in a movie theatre....
An interesting read on who has the power and the legal underpinnings of our police state. The Police Power of the States to Control a Pandemic, Explained
It’s frankly disturbing how quickly they can flip the switch and not even blink. They speak with the same indignant authority both before and after despite giving diametrically opposed opinions.
