Yeah...when you control all information you can always make up your own numbers.
Just like their phony gross domestic product numbers.

Russia bans entry to foreign nationals, closes schools

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian authorities on Monday banned foreign nationals from entering the country, shut state schools and limited public gatherings in Moscow in an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus.

The ban on foreign nationals will be enforced from March 18 until May 1, though diplomats, airplane crew members and some other categories of people will be exempt, the government said.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin prohibited all outdoor events and limited public indoor events to no more than 50 people until April 10, he said in a blog post on his personal website, citing the need to strengthen the city’s quarantine measures.

Spain becomes 4th most coronavirus-infected nation, seizes all private health care | Fox News

Spain became the fourth most coronavirus-infectednation in the world Monday, surpassing South Koreaas the arc of contagion rises

The latest figures prompted the Spanish government to take over its private health care sector, as well as requisition materials such as face masks and COVID-19 tests, The Guardian reported.

Spain had already declared a state of emergency Saturday and implemented a lockdown, ordering people to stay indoors unless they needed to leave to buy food or medicine, go to the hospital or report to work. Transport minister, José Luis Ábalos, said it was likely the measures would be extended past the initial 15-day period.

At least 6,470 people worldwide have died of the novel virus as of Monday morning. At least 164,470 cases have been recorded around the globe.

Another reason why their elderly are dying is because the hospitals are overrun and they are having to choose not to treat anyone over 80. Even the elderly will survive most of the time, but not if they aren't getting any treatment.

If SK sick were all old men who smoked, they’d be clogging up hospitals too. Numbers don’t lie.

    The difference is astounding.

“Plenty has already been written about how the population of Italy differs from much of the world. According to a UN report in 2015, 28.6% of the Italian population was 60 years old or older (second in the world after Japan at 33%). This compares to South Korea, where 18.5% of the population is at least 60 years of age, ranking 53rd globally.”

But WHY was the outbreak in SK mostly youngish non-smoking women? Was it because of containment & testing? Like your article says "To understand exactly what is happening, we need daily case updates to include information about age and sex". I believe that the numbers from the article explains some of the difference but 10x the number?

They are a month to 6 weeks ahead of italy. Italy should start declining in new infections soon. About a week after that recoveries will start to snowball.

As I said on another thread - the mortality rate drop would only be true if those 86% remain asymptomatic and above ground. A questionable assumption.

Time will tell. I think our rates increase quite quickly for two more weeks than plateau for a bit and then be in rapid decline 8 weeks from now.
