Lots of those 60 are recovered already it looks like. Maybe 14 active is accurate.

Seems like a reasonable assumption, but you can click on the US stats specifically, and it says only 6 are recovered, 0 deaths, which would mean 54 active cases.

Actually, that map seems broken, when I clicked around on the red dots across America and counted the cases, I only saw 16 cases.

I believe 40 of the cases were from that cruise ship, so I don't know if they're being counted in the number you're seeing or not. But the number of active cases has definitely gone down. Either way, 1 is too many and we can thank Trump for ever allowing it to happen to an American.

California patient couldn't get tested for days due to restrictive testing procedures and lack of approved testing facilities and strict testing criteria set by the CDC.

Coronavirus Live Updates: New Cases Light Up the Map as Nations Brace for Outbreaks

Federal rules delayed testing of a California patient.

A person in California who was not exposed to anyone known to be infected with the coronavirus, and who had not traveled to countries where it is circulating, had to wait days to be tested because of restrictive federal criteria, despite doctors’ suggestions.

The patient, who has tested positive, may be the first person to be infected through community spread in the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Wednesday. Public health officials said the infected individual was a resident of Solano County, in Northern California, but they have not disclosed any other information to protect the patient’s privacy. Doctors at the University of California, Davis Medical Center considered the novel pathogen a possible diagnosis when the patient was first admitted last week.

But the C.D.C. has restricted testing to patients who either traveled to China recently or who know they had contact with someone infected with the coronavirus.

The C.D.C. could not be immediately reached for comment.

The new case, in which the source of infection is unknown, is cause for concern, experts said.

That would suggest there are other undetected cases out there, and we have already started some low-grade transmission,” said Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious disease specialist at Vanderbilt University.

Good news everyone. The manager at Publix just told me that they will be staying open 24/7 through the end of this week to help Floridians prepare for now certain coronavirus epidemic.
Since this is the absolute most horrific epidemic ever they may extend the extended shopping hours into next week so that people can buy extra canned goods and water.

I also just got off the phone with Jim Bakker and by tomorrow night he will be marketing my new DIY kits for making your own masks, a home test kit for coronavirus, and a new full body condom set available in both male and female and female versions so that men and women who will be home bound for the next 6-12 months will be able to safely have sex and not worry about coronavirus transmission/infection.

Update: Bernie’s campaign just called and told me that all three would be covered under his Medicare for all plan.

    Things are definitely looking up!!

I think that map is where diagnosis occurs. So it wouldn't count the cruise ship patients in the US, for example, despite the fact that they are here.

I see where it says 2 people in the Orlando area were tested but both tests came back negative.

I think 14 were cases discovered here, 40 or so were from the cruise ship people and the rest were from people the US got out of China early on....

They have a very limited supply already. How do you think they get all of those players from out of state to come there?

You can tell they invented it in Kentucky, anywhere else and it would have been called a teethbrush.

Great, sarcasm abides. Now we have a conservative yin (@LouisvilleGator) to a liberal yang (@WarDamnGator). This should be fun for newbies to the board.
