Its possible to project confidence without blatantly lying and contradicting the CDC, an organization whose sole responsibility is dealing with situations such as these.

They are whining about him. The only difference is he has a valid reason to be whining.

Not necessarily. As of yesterday, 24 were reporting as still having it. We don't know how many of those have been symptom free for any amount of time. He could easily have info we're not privy to. Regardless, 24.. 10.. when you're talking out of 327,000,000 people, that's called splitting hairs. If that's your best example of him lying about it, that's a joke.

I don't know what the medical definition of "contained" would be, honestly. But 1 new case out of 327,000,000 people is not apocalyptic, which is the way the media is behaving about it.

Yeah, I suggest that you regularly drive through school zones at 50 mph and the tell the cops that you only overestimated by 2.5x, that their opinion of your speed is just splitting hairs. If there is no difference, why not say the real number?

Taking Trump's statement in its best light, the coronavirus may been temporarily contained, but the chances are that it's only temporary.
CDC official warns Americans it's not a question of if coronavirus will spread, but when - CNN
Trump's real concern isn't about whether or not or to what extent the coronavirus will spread but how the story will affect the stock market.
Trump is reportedly furious that the stock market is plunging on coronavirus fears
A big part of Trump's reelection spiel is how well the stock market has performed since he took office. A declining stock market is a real concern to the reality television president.

This clown is starting national panic for no reason... Everyone that has it in the U.S. is quarantined.

I don't understand the panic at this point in time... unless he thinks that people crossing illegally into our country are a concern. Or, are they keeping information from American citizens?

I guess if saying the wrong number by 2.5x isn't a lie, what would you consider a lie? 3x? 6x? 27x?

To hell with public health, towing the party line is way more important. Goebbels would be proud.....sorry if the prospect of people getting sick and maybe dying is such an inconvenience to the fragile ego of Trump.
