The rookie from Tampa, Fla., has taken Major League Baseball by storm in 2019. Over the first half of the season he set numerous historic marks, was named to the National League All-Star team and earned an invite to the 2019 Home Run Derby -- which he won. Alonso's success has continued in the latter part of the summer and on Tuesday he broke the Mets' single-season home run record, launching his 42nd long ball of the season.
