    That's 4 to 5 bottles more than I have.

FWIW, there's an eBay seller selling bottles of Pat's for $4.85 ea. plus $7.49 shipping, with free shipping for extra bottles.

According to the listing, there's 10 bottles available.

In theory then if you bought all 10 bottles, you'd be paying $5.60/bottle to your door.

Obviously for folks like us who are used to paying under $2/bottle, that's painful - but on the other hand - one could almost justify the cost, when compared to what one pays for other sauces.

Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with the eBay auction.

Pat's is good, but not that good. It was awesome at $1.95 a bottle.

I agree. I'd try to make a replica before buying it that way. Just thought I'd pass it along, but I'm with ya, Lurk.

Pat's was insanely good at that price point when we could get it that cheaply. There are better ones, but nowhere near that price point.

It really wouldn’t surprise me to see it unavailable for 6 months or so and then come back priced like everything else 4.99-6.99 bottle....

    Always about the dollar....

    Re: Pats Ho-Made BBQ Sauce

There's a website listed on the label: Palmettocanning(dot com)

And on that website is contact info, in case anyone is interested in contacting them to see what the status and plan going forward is.

Which makes one wonder if money was the issue, why didn't Publix just add a buck to make it $2.95/bottle. It'd still be a deal for the consumer and there'd be an extra dollar added to whatever profit existed before.

If Pat’s isn’t available, Everglades Moppin Sauce is dang close to the same flavor, just 4.99 bottle.....

Cheating a little tonight. Publix wings, sub trays, and a bunch of hand cut seasoned fries in the oven for the CWS G1. Go Dores!

For tonight I had a fresh boneless chuck roast ground up for hamburger steaks on the grill with baked potatoes and fresh premium romaine salad topped with vine ripe tomatoes—

The ice cold longnecks will be doing their part to help the cook out and then pull for the SEC to win the CWS—

No really super cooking today. Instead I did a "spring cleaning" on our two bathrooms. I might become Permanent Latrine Orderly if you are old enough to know the movie No Time For Sergeants. I also did a super clean on the glass in our gas oven.

Tonight I will fire up our neglected Ducane gas grill to warm up some sausages to eat when watching what might be the last game. It is nice to have that tool in the shed. Cooking over wood or lump coal is awesome, but sometimes you just need to heat something up and not get your house hot.

Eating left over lamb shank and mango salsa for lunch.

I'll be chilli braising some pork shoulder for pork tacos. Good finger food for watching baseball. Soaking some ancho and arbol chillis for some of the braising liquid. Also just roasted some tomatillos, onion, and garlic for a salsa with chipotles. And will make tomato/serrano salsa as well.

I just minced a number of radishes to go on the pork tacos.

    Almost game time!

Lol—been my experience that every radish has it’s own flavor...

Got some friends coming over that can’t travel next week so—

Tonight I’ve got 2 racks of Baby Back ribs on the Egg over cherry wood smoke and I’ll add 6 ears of bi-color cob corn later—

Sides done inside will be home made tater salad and coleslaw, deviled eggs, and BBQ baked beans—oh, yes—and a pan of jalapeño cornbread—

The Yeti was stocked and re-iced early this morning and has been participating in the day since the yard work was finished—
