Finishing touches on planting 5 Riverburch and 2 Maple trees so the ice cold longnecks have been in play (it is Saturday-;)) from finishing up yard work and leading straight into tailGatoring for tonight’s game—

Supper will be homemade fried chicken, red beans and rice, and fresh field peas w/snaps—

I wonder what the po’folks are doing—

Hard to cook with a three game home series with Miami and a Gator home basketball game yesterday.

Yesterday I grilled a whole mess of chicken legs. Close to 40 of them. They were BOGO at Publix. It was for some folks that I know that had a family tragedy. Sometimes things happen that make no sense and are very sad.

Celebrating the series win over the canes tonight grilling 1 1/2” thick fresh cut bone-in ribeyes with baked potatoes and fresh premium Romaine salad topped with vine-ripe tomatoes—

The ice cold longnecks have been most rewarding all day—

Green Egg beer can chicken tonight with fresh steamed broccoli and Dixie Lily yellow rice on the side—

Back porch ice cold longnecks are a must when the Green Egg is working—

In "yall's" opinion what are the most vitamin laden greens?

I am a nut for fresh spinach salad with maters, sweet onions and maybe green olives. Romaine is ok too.

    5220—

Spinach I believe is at the top of the chart for healthy content—

    Turnips are also good—

Putting together basically a Lodge kettle of beef stew for supper—

Except that I’ll be using venison backstrap instead of beef stew meat—

Potatoes, carrots, vidalia onion, and celery hearts will be in the mix—

Fried cornbread is the side tonight—

tailGatoring ice cold longnecks are anticipated—

    They are all pretty good.

My favorites to eat are mustard greens and chard because I find them to taste great without adding a lot of salty and fatty meat. Spinach, turnip greens, and kale are not far behind. I like collards, but they take forever to cook.

    Rain here throughout the day—

Going with homemade chicken and rice and grilled cheese sammichs—

Pressure cook the chicken then add a can of cream of chicken soup with the rice—it makes it mo’better—

The longnecks are iced and waiting to do their part—

I was too busy to cook today and have a game to go see.

Probably eating overpriced and crappy food tonight.

Ms. Jan’s back home and requested hamburger steak, baked potatoes, and fresh premium Romaine salad—so I had a fresh boneless chuck roast ground by my butcher and am honoring her request—

Afternoon ice cold longnecks are in play for our 3:00CST start—

Swing the hammer Gators, swing the hammer—

Wasn't supposed to be home cooking tonight, but with the weather we all bailed on the baseball game and picked up fixin's at Publix: Ribeyes, potatoes, salad, and asparagus for a home cooked meal before going to the basketball game.

    Grill is getting ready.

Yard work is done and it’s too windy to burn—

    So let the tailGatoring begin—:)

Tonight it’ll be grilled chicken halves and fresh green beans and new potatoes—
Yes @GatorLurker I still have some Pat’s Ho-made for the last two turns—

Did I say that the longnecks are ice cold?—;)

Out in Portland for the week.

Yesterday I made a celery root and potato gratin.

    Today it's pasta puttanesca.
