As long as she is on the right side on energy and the Second Amendment issues she really won't have to worry. Even if she is primaried she would win again as a third party or independent candidate like she did in 2010 when she ran as write-in candidate.

Although Kavanaugh's confirmation is essentially a done deal this explains why Murkowski voted against cloture and will be voting not to confirm him.

What do you expect from someone, Murkowski, who is a career politician and the daughter of a politician. She's the country club Republican's answer to Pelosi.

Another made up right wing theory. Like so many other theories believed by so many people, not because it is true or there is any evidence but because they are political hacks who want to be lied to. Like the misidentification theory. Susan Collins called her a survivor. That is why real investigations investigate the Ramirez story and the witnesses who gave her story to Farrow because they saw it. Or, Sedgwick. And look for patterns. Not in this case. Some people care that a nominee to the Supreme Court perjured himself about his drinking. Or acted in a non-judicial manner and expressed partisan bias on a nomination hearing. That performance is why the ABA— a relatively conservative organization— pulled its rating. There were plenty of conservative judges to nominate and confirm. Kavanaugh is a disgrace. Then again, the right wing in this country likes being lied to, which is why it embraces Comrade President.

Didn't you claim earlier that Antifa was more violent /responsible for more deaths than the alt right?

Her post directly refutes that. And TBH I had no idea the far right was statistically more than 35 times more violent than the far left. But those numbers clarify the real threat in a big way.

Hey guys, in case you were wondering, there's more evidence that Kavanaugh perjured himself:
The battle over accusations goes on as Kavanaugh nomination advances
The story detailing Ramirez’s accusation was published in The New Yorker on Sept. 23. Charlton told NBC News that, in a phone conversation three days earlier, the former classmate told her Kavanaugh had called him and advised him not to say anything "bad" if the press were to call.

Then on September 21, according to the texts, that same person sent Charlton a text accusing her of disclosing their conversation to a reporter. “Hellllllooooo........

Jesus christ you know what I meant. Videos have been shown to you and I know you're smart enough to google it yourself. If you're an Antifa supporter, I have nothing to say to you.

Antifa is more violent and causes more damage to cities in the US. Period, end of story. If you don't like facts or can't handle them, it's not my obligation nor to I really care to try to educate you.

I've said what I said in response to Oaktown, you can see my thoughts on all extremist groups there.

This is really off topic. We have plenty of antifa threads. They suck. But not as much as the alt right and Neo Nazis.

Data suggest otherwise. There are far more violent and property hate crimes against people who would be the object of folks like Spencer than there are against he & his ilk. You seem to be mistaking some high profile incidents that are more or less anomalous for what is the norm.

I guess this might have turned up if the FBI has been allowed to investigate this?

What data? The internet is a great place to go to see actual visual evidence.. Do you see the amount of evidence that shows Trump rallies, Alt right rallies and even KKK rallies are more violent? Regardless of how morally inept each group is, they all have a right to protest and have rallies. When they do have rallies, more Antifa rallies turn to violence than any other. Theirs turn into riots. Morally speaking, I think Alt-right and KKK are worse because at their core, they are simply racists. However, I have seen no evidence that supports the claim that their rallies and/or protests end up more violent and cause more damage than Antifa's.

I don't think you can necessarily measure political ideology solely based on votes. I mean there are a lot of votes where it's bad for your team, but the law is fairly clear. I mean you would conclude that the 4 left wing justices are pro business based on Kelo v. City of New London since they all voted for it along with Kennedy. And Scalia is supposedly a filthy hippie for voting for the first amendment in the flag burning case. But then some cases yield decisions that seem ideological. The court was split on partisan lines on Citizens United, but traditionally the left has supported free speech cases. Or Sotomayor dissenting in the Muslim ban case despite the law being pretty clear on presidential power to do so. It seems like a mixed bag. I read an article a few years ago either on SCOTUSblog or somewhere else that talked about how the outcomes often seem inconsistent from case to case ideologically but may be more consistent from a jurisprudence perspective. Can't find it unfortunately but it had a bunch of great examples.

I can’t believe how many Republicans are falling over themselves to confirm this morally challenged political hack. I used to identify with the Republican Party but they’ve lost their identity and I’m left trying to find good independents for which to vote.

Vote Libertarian to get equal ballot access. Two party system doesn't work.

"There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution."

Okay, my acquiescence to "you guys." If it is shown that the FBI decided to bury damning evidence and The Kav lied and coerced others then you have my permission to impeach him.

    Does that work?

A tv commentator suggested that the reopened FBI investigation was a charade from its very beginning, not because the Bureau was incapable of conducting a comprehensive investigation but because the White House limited the scope to the point where a meaningful investigation was virtually impossible. The confirmation of Kavanaugh wasn't a done deal as of today. It was essentially a done deal when Kavanaugh was nominated.

I think arbitrarily limiting it to rallies leads to mistaken conclusions. Many of the rallies involved violent clashes in which both sides engaged in violence.

In any case, try here for FBI data on hate crimes.
