No they have already done that. This is a supplemental check into some allegations. The principals have been contacted and the agents made a decision whether or not further details were required. Apparently they are ready to finish the supplemental information.
This has become so public and gone on so long, I think a lot of the information coming out now is what you avoid by doing a quiet background check by the FBI or investigation by JC staffers, when allegations are not publicly shared.
What happens during a "supplemental check?" Are you saying that they look into specific allegations? Or phrased another way, are you saying that they INVESTIGATE specific allegations?
What's his name? I'll be interested to see if anything comes of this. However, it's hard to lend credence to an anonymous ex. It's also noteworthy that I see nothing on the letter indicating that it's a sworn affidavit (i.e., no penalty of perjury). Nevertheless, seems like a good thing to have the FBI investigate. Of course, they'd have to actually speak with Dr. Ford. Maybe we can have them speak with Judge Kavanaugh too.
Just when you think Trump has hit a new low, he pulls out a shovel and starts digging. This "man" is a disgrace and unfit for office.
It was a despicable thing to do ..... and they ate it up. Chanting "Lock her up". I don't know what to think.
Grassley’s letter to Dr. Ford’s attorneys today requesting documentary evidence (therapist notes, polygraph results and recordings, etc.) specifically references the Committee having received a sworn statement from one of her ex-boyfriends saying he personally witnessed her coaching a friend on polygraph examinations: I suspect if Grassley is writing letters referring to it, Committee investigators have talked to the guy.
Dr. Ford is just a lying puppet for the liberal socialistic democratic party. Praise be to honest people like Trump.
Interesting. However, if the letter he received is the same one above, Grassley misrepresented the substance of the letter. The ex-boyfriend never said she coached her friend. It's the same point you made earlier with the Swetnick affidavit. The language the ex used in that letter only says that she explained what a polygraph entailed and familiarized her with the process. There's also another significant implication. If the letter was sent to the Committee and then ended up in the hands of Fox News, it's not hard to connect the dots there. Since the Republicans on the Committee are leaking information, if I were Dr. Ford's attorney, I'd send Grassley a very short and to the point response about where he can shove his letter. I'm interested to see Dr. Ford's response. The only allegation in the letter that conflicts with her testimony is the part about the polygraph.
Yeah, pretty clear that the Republicans on the panel went with the leak everything strategy tonight, with the Swetnick thing, the Ford housing thing, and this. I'm wondering if it is related to this: FBI expands inquiry into Ford allegations - CNNPolitics That could also just be the FBI trying to cover their butt from a PR perspective, but it is interesting when they obviously just leaked out a bunch of stuff that they had.
