The problem is he that hes constantly getting the slow developing runs. I dont think he or perine read holes better than pierce but theres more to it then that

 

We ran 26 plays and had 6 penalties and lost Dean. I'll take the 3 point deficit at the half. D came through. Franks actually overcame some bad down and distance due to penalties a few times. It was an ugly half. But I'll take being down 3 on the road after an ugly half. We get the ball first. Let's come out and make it 10-6.

 

Almost Every run play went right into the rush. I love the misdirection calls, but none of it worked. MS defense was all over it. Clock management was terrible. 2nd qtr play calling was horrible. That is coaching, it wasn't execution.

 

I'm proud of our Defense! they are hanging in there when things go wrong. Showing some character!

 

Off topic but I was pretty pumped after my Gator calendar came in today. It looks great!

 

Like the creativity. Execution sucks. I also think that they have natural insight. When Fred pulls you’ll be able to make the play from behind. He cannot reach his first block allowing backside to make play.

After the nice low throw to Hammond for the first down with 3minutes left, Scarlett starts right, misses a gaping hole right and cuts back to his left into a swarm of State tacklers losing a couple yards. I’m afraid he just doesn’t have the vision of the best backs. Hated to see Davis go down again this season. He seemed to have some of the best vision for a Gator tailback since Emmitt.

I hope to see a lot more potency from our offense in the 2nd half. I know we can do it with the right play-calling, personnel, and production.

 

agree. I think it's time to try Pierce. We need the something extra that he brings to the fun game. We have to keep out Wide outs busy as heck. we got away from that.

Right side of the offensive line started the game unfocused with all the penalties. Too bad Heggie is out with the cast because the right side needs all the help they can get.

 

We only had 4 possessions and 26 plays in the half.

 

Since the game was invented if you can't run the ball and can't stop the run, you have little chance of winning.

 

To be perfectly honest, I don’t believe the lack of running game is on these RBs. We have long developing, horizontal running plays. Combine it with a poor OL push and you get a bad run game.
