Hate to say it, but I agree. Wouldve likes to see us call the timeout early enough to force a punt that we could go after, but short of that Franks is more likely to throw a pick 6 than engineer a quick drive.

What's working: Perrine rushing, quick screens, quick hitters, and toney. Let's not make this complicated.

Yeah, it seems neither FF or Scarlett are capable of operating the offense Dan wants to run. When LP and Toney are part of the plays, though, they know what to do and the plays work.

Just not sure how long Dan will keep trying to fit the square Scarlett peg into the round hole. Or why he's trying to do it at all. I guess it's all about blitz pickups, because it's the only thing he has done today.

Mullen pulling the Mac and Muscramp playbook and playing not to lose rather than to win

Please stop saying bench scarlett hes by far our best all around back. Apparently some people think pass blocking for a running back doesnt mean anything.
We are up 7 if our offensive line doesnt commit so many penalties. Great half all around. Wish Mullen would have used time outs but Im sure hes got a plan. Overall if you told anyone that we would be down 3 to Miss St at the beginning of the season EVERYONE would be pleased. Hopefully the second half we can speed the offense up a little bit and continue the blitzes from the secondary.

How many touches does Toney need in the second half? If he gets 6-10 I say there’s no way we don’t become more productive on offense.

If he can't catch and not see the hole or hit it fast enough he isn't our best all around back. I think meant best blocking back but not all around back. Heck Scarlett isn't better than lp, Davis, or Pierce at hitting the hole

We are definitely in it. A nice defensive or special teams play...or two...will be the difference.

Scarlett is the best pass blocker. That's why.

typical SEC slobberknocker of a game ... we are hanging but expect to see more aggressiveness in the 2nd half.

I don’t understand the bench Scarlett talk. Maybe not throw to him but he’s our best runner. We need to cut that slow developing counter play out of the pkaybook

Clean up some of the OL penalties and tackle the RBs better and we can get it done.

    Go Gators!

He is our best blitz pick up back. Show me when he has ever hit a hole straight on

So much can and DOES (see MSU vs. central michigan today)go wrong in the final 3 mins. of a half, that it can change the complexion of the entire game. I'm happy with 6-3. Not bad at all. I just want to see Pierce in the 2nd half. His first step is better than the other Running Backs.

I'd like to see a rolling pocket. Not sure why that's not part of our playbook. FF can't think fast, when he bails FF has a hard time picking a running lane from a set pocket, our OL cant block well and our RBs aren't picking up blitzes half the time. A rolling pocket helps or cures all those ills.

We definitely can't keep trying the same thing. MSU is much more physically strong them we are, so we have to use the kind of misdirection and speed plays we did on our only scoring drive (and then inexplicably abandoned). Power running with Scarlett and pocket passing with FF is a recipe for a 3- or 6-point day for the UF offense.
