I talked with a retired black woman a few days ago who had someone scream in her face the N word at her driver's side front window after she got to a parking space before her. She was within inches of her and worked at the same company, a hospital. She worked there for years but never believed she saw her again because all she could remember was the blonde hair given the trauma of the event. This happened in the early 80s too.

So what exactly is a one week investigation on a cold case going to accomplish other than raise money for Dems?

Well first off, awesome! You are close to my parents age :)

But I doubt you'd remember a party where there was an attempted rape that you didn't know about, but you would if it happened to you or if it became a known scandal.

And look, I'm not trying to condemn Kavanaugh for partying or even his alleged bad behavior--did and saw enough wrong and hedonistic excesses in my own life that I cannot and will not be a hypocrite. I even understand pretty deeply a willingness or impulse to play down his teen years or even perhaps his current drinking. Been there more than a few times, maybe the stakes weren't as high, but they were for me. But I also can't not call bs when it strikes me as bs. I just don't find his response to the allegations believable, unless--and I honestly think this is a real possibility--he was drunk and doesn't remember. If so, it can explain at least partly explain the indignation. And let's say the latter is true, he still could have handled this much better.

Memory is what you want to remember sometimes. I can remember I only had one beer at the party. What party ? I don’t remember When was the party ? I don’t remember. Where was the party ? I don’t remember How did you get to the party and how did you get Home ? I don’t remember but I only had one beer and that bad boy tried to rape me. Bullshit. She is a liar big time

Okay, we'll put the third option on the table. You don't care about the science. You don't care what survivors have to say. You think you know the answer, and you believe that you're right. Damn anyone who tells you otherwise.

You would know about what happened in a room you were not in even though the alleged victim left the room and went straigh out of the house. Because you were in another part of the house. OK.

You were banging on him for being rich and entitled, yet she grew up in the exact same circles. Seems like both of them may be no peach, but it’s not her whole life history being drug out, but his. They treated her civilly. Why is he the only possible asshole of the two?

The fact she was in therapy with her husband suggests underlying issues already existed. Was this something brought up to elicit sympathy with her husband? Who knows. I would be surprised if her therapist notes will be made available to verify her story, that is for sure. Does she have any proof Kavanaugh was the issue? No. Only her word. Her therapy notes were provided to a newspaper to validate her story, but couldn’t be provided to the committee to validate her story?

I have just as much right to feel I am right as you do to feel you are right “Survivors” have no bearing on this event We are talking about one person Ford who claims to be a survivor. But has no prof the people “SHE” brought into this and said they were there will not back her up

She admitted under oath she did not name Kavanaugh as the villain to the therapist. Why did she not name him

This is mistaken. First off, the perps of an attempted rape aren't likely to go around telling anyone when the vic runs out. You brag about consensual conquests, not rape. Second, as has been made clear on here, under-reporting/under-counting of sexual assaults and rape are notorious. But you don't have to believe me, you can read the 279 page report from the National Academy of Sciences that examined this issue to get a sense of how extensive it is.

You certainly have the right to ignore science and ignore the people who have been through it. That's your choice. But it's hard to take your stance seriously when you act that way.

The same thing that the first three letters of the word assess spell. It's also the same as the first three letters in assassinate. But I'm not really sure what that has to do with anything.

The only Facts or intent to prove her lie that have been proven is that she named three people as being there one of them her life long best friend and they will not verify her lie

But those are the exact questions in this stupid case. Where was Ford attacked? No idea. When was Ford attacked? I don’t know, but sometime in 1982. Interrogate the Judge guy and let me know what he says, then I can be more specific about not even a date, but a time frame. What a load of crap. No date, no location, no way to defend themselves or even begin to be able to guess where they were to provide an alibi. So investigate what?

She has no specifics, yet you are wanting to start an investigation off of that? Location? Date? Anything. Judge will say, you have my sworn statement. Kavanaugh will say, you have my sworn statement. The three “eyewitnesses” will say, you have our sworn statements. So what is next? Check out Kavanaugh’s life on ???? day in 1982? Check out Judge’s life on ???? day in 1982? Or just take Kavanaugh to the proctologist and investigate everything on him in the summer of 1982.
