Suspend what process? Confirming him? Yes, they'd wait for the investigation. So what? There is no deadline.

You obviously understand evidence. He doesn't understand why additional evidence would be relevant to the committee even if the FBI doesn't draw conclusions? He's an experienced federal judge. Do you really find him credible when he is going back to talking points when they are pressing him on the FBI investigation? And you think he doesn't know what "boof" means and that being at the top of the "Ralph" club is just because he has a weak stomach? I watched his opening statement and thought this is our next Supreme Court Justice, but he is wilting under what I would say is pretty amateurish cross examination. I would now say that he is an obvious liar under oath. You are really buying all of this?
So what? If I'm him and I'm innocent, I say bring it on. I don't start pretending that I don't know basic process and evidence and start stammering. I thought he might start crying again. Totally lacking credibility for someone with his knowledge and experience. And even if he says something like "No, my family has been through enough and I think what has already been done has been thorough and fair and enough is enough", I could accept that. But playing stupid on simple matters of process when that is a huge part of your job as a federal judge? He's a liar.
Every time he is asked about an FBI investigation he should say you need to ask why Diane Feinstein sat on the letter for 6 weeks. Pound that into the public record.
I knew a guy in high school that was waiting for marriage because of his religion, but liked to hang out with the party crowd. He used all the religious fake cuss words like "frick" and stuff, but otherwise was pretty much like the rest of us. I don't think it's that uncommon.
Again, I have two questions for the conservatives: 1. Does it bother you that the Republican Senators have taken the questioning away from Mitchell now that it's Kavanaugh up there? 2. Are you irate at the Republicans who used their time to grandstand?
