"IF" you can remember the sortied details of the so called attack you sure as hell should remember where when and how of the so called attack. Sounds like selective memory

So if you had a daughter that told you thirty-one years later that she was traumatized by another teen who she believed was attempting to rape her and had covered her mouth, scaring her even more, you'd say "Sorry, I have an internal statute of limitations that prompts me to be dismissive of allegations not levied within 3 decades of the alleged wrong"?

That is really strange Did she ask for the test or did her lawyer suggest it? Surly with the cost of between $500 to $1,000 she would ask who is paying for it

I don't think there was much to take from this that we didn't already know.

The one part that gets me is she has a detailed memory of somethings from that night but then no memory at all of other portions regarding that night.

The questioning format is just ridiculous.

Simply not true based upon our understanding of psychology and memory around trauma. This viewpoint is why they are changing how police approach accusations, as methods that focus on those details have been historically ineffective.

I think Trump would be more likely to hold the line if he is the one making the decision. If he pulls the nominee, it would have been on advice from his people and the congress most likely so I wouldn't really credit him. He doesn't seem to understand the political implications and I don't get a feeling of sympathy for her from him.

Why would she ever have to wonder about that? This whole thing is a DNC rouse.....so why would she have to ever consider that?

Think back on a traumatic event in your own life. Something from when you were an adolescent. Then try to remember what specifically happened that was traumatic, and then try to remember all the rest of the details of that particular day and see what you come up with.

So there's no implications in withdrawing a nominee just because of unsubstantiated and uncorroborated allegations?

Of course it involves questioning the accuser. But it would also typically involve doing a criminal investigation before you even get to a criminal trial. That's what substantiates the charges actually being filed. Which is what is entirely missing here.

That she places Mark Judge in the room and he's not called or investigated is simply incredible. A statement isn't enough from him at this point, as even Fox finds her credible. But this isn't about finding the truth, its about having a vote tomorrow and tilting the court. Just wish the Pubs would at least be honest about that simple fact.

Could it be that all the things she has a detailed memory about are the things that are completely unprovable? But could be fabricated to provide credibility.

"I remember the bed on the right and the bathroom to be close" She must be telling the truth.....

yes, from the git-go this was never going to reach absolute certainty. People may be more or less certain about whether or not it happened but some degree of uncertainty will always linger. She sounds credible to me but am I absolutely sure what she describes was done and done by BK? No, not absolutely sure.

It's not strange. If her lawyers recommended she take it (which seems likely), they likely handled all the arrangements. That's not abnormal. You bill the client the cost later on. However, I think the law firm is handling this case pro bono.

They are. When you come out attacking victims and disbelieve them, you encourage people not to report.

Ok. I don’t think there is anything Kavanaugh can say that will sway me from wanting a more thorough vetting. Was this act at 17 so egregious that he can’t be a judge now that he is in his 50’s? That’s a hard question to answer. If the investigation uncovers a larger pattern I’d say he is out. If this is an isolated incident that he forgot about or was too drunk to remember, well, then that’s tougher but there are tons of judges who didn’t assault anyone. I’d need to know more for sure to vote for him if I was a Pub.
