I disagree. I think these women might be fine just not having him in an incredibly public position of power for the rest of their lives. Just because they don't seek prosecution or money doesn't mean their claims are invalid or motivations dubious.

Why would they come forward at great personal risk to themselves if not to tell the truth? They are not going to gain anything by it?

I’m sure you see what I did there.

If these men come forward and can prove they were at a party that matches the one Dr. Ford described and can say who’s house it was and when the party was and who was there, then I will listen to them. They do need to come forward though.

No statue of limitations in Maryland for sexual assault. Two of the women are free to file charges. Anyone think Avenatti won’t do that just to stay in the news?

I'll give you every dollar I have if these men come forward publicly and provide signed affidavits and/or testify.

While I don't disagree with you wrt Dem leadership here, the same is true of Pub leadership both in congress and the White House. Sad days we live in wrt complete lack of integrity or concern for justice or the good of the country, from so many people in decision making roles.

Regardless, it looks pretty clear that BK had significant drinking problems and related behavioral issues in HS and College. Which calls into question both his behavior wrt these women and his recollection of events, and his motivations wrt testimony. He doesn't want to reveal himself as a regularly incoherent and/or belligerent drunk whether that was the truth or not.

Please provide a copy of your 2017 tax returns. :D

I say that jokingly but their names are known by the committee and one has apparently been interviewed more than once. Their names are going to come out at some point.

They'll be just fine, because nothing happened to them--at least as it relates to Kav.

One of them has provided a written statement to the Committee.

You may want to hedge on what that bet is (to at a minimum require the Committee to release that written statement), because under one reading of it you have already lost.

No criminal statute of limitations for rape, and presumably attempted rape in Maryland. Not an expert on Maryland law and haven't researched the issue but I'm not really sure that the absence of an sol for a criminal act applies to civil litigation. As far as Swetnick is concerned she never alleged that Kavanaugh and Judge raped her, she did allege that they were present when she was gang-raped. I guess Avenatti's option may be a civil suit for defamation based attempts to discredit her. Avenatti filed a defamation suit on behalf of Stormy Daniels which may be dismissed. Summer Zervos, one of Trump's accusers has a pending defamation suit against the Donald in response to his attempt to smear her following her accusations against him.

Then, by your own admission, you are biased against the victim in this case and therefore unable to objectively come to a conclusion based on the testimonies and evidence we DO have. If you had any experience with actual sexual assault victims, you'd know that everything that has happened up to this point re: Dr. Ford points to her telling the truth.

What if Dr. Ford were your daughter?

The sad part about all this (to me at least) is that even if she is telling the truth, it is clearly being told for political purposes only and sends the wrong message, IMO. Women need to have the courage to report these things when they happen. When you wait 36 years and then claim you were too embarrassed or traumatized to tell your husband the name until you were married for 10 years and them BAM! all the sudden you're ready to talk about the entire ordeal in front of 100,000,000 people on live TV, how can you blame anyone for being suspicious? If what Ford claims happened did in fact happen, very tragic. That it was only worthy of being discussed when the balance of the SCOTUS was on the line, I find quite tragic as well. Women need to speak out about these things when they happen so that these perps can be criminally prosecuted. It's just as much a civic duty then, perhaps more so, as if you don't speak out, you have 1000's of rapists walking the streets who could harm other women. And if we are to believe any of Kavanaugh's subsequent accusers, that is exactly what happened.

He bragged about his drinking in HS and college. His best friend bragged about it. 100 kegs in one year in HS? C'mon. With friends or not, that is crazy. I haven't been to anywhere near that many keg parties in my entire life. Probably not half that many. And I definitely drink.

His college roommate highlighted him as an incoherent belligerent drunk. Almost everyone drank too much in college in those days. For a guy to get singled out like that means he was well off the reservation with his drinking.

His accusers have all highlighted it as well.

Not sure what else you need to see than he, his best friend, his roommate and his accusers all nailing him on it.

Nah, but they like to mock those who do, and act like their so superior, so I figured it'd work so show how *deplorable* they're acting in this latest lynch mob circus.

If we are to look at this objectively, you need to take our feelings such as, what if this was my daughter.

Emotions will easily cloud sound judgment.

If I were conducting an investigation into the background of a supreme court nominee and I discovered he drank in high school/college and acted like a drunken high schooler/colllege kid I would check the box that said *normal*.
