No it is not. It proves that no one named by Dr. Ford can positively say that they ever attended a party with Dr. Ford and Kavanaugh at it. That hurts Dr. Ford’s case since someone besides Dr. Ford has to be able to do that.

We know have a very clear trend of accusers making allegations at Kavanaugh but not being able to produce a single supporting witness who was there at the time to confirm their story. At some point, a firsthand witness needs to be found who can corroborate the allegations made by these women to make them believable. Otherwise the argument that Democrats are delaying the confirmation in the hope that enough unsubstantiated allegations are enough to sink Kavanaugh’s confirmation by using the #MeToo movement is very valid.

At some point we need more than allegations, we need firsthand witnesses to back the accusers accounts. If not, then every political nomination going forward is going to be open to unsubstantiated accusations going forward. Dick Durbin mentioned the other day that Senate Democrats learned their lesson about nuking the judicial filibusters. I think we are sitting at a similar position where we will all regret where we end up if Kavanaugh is taken down based on accusations alone.

Let go of yourself and calm down. If I had seen someone holding a girl down against their will and covering their mouth someone would have been calling an ambulance for them, not the police.
Also, I went to hundreds of parties from the time I was 15 through 30 years old. I have seen it all, orgies, dozens of people skinny dipping at the same time, swingers hooking up, etc. You name it, I’ve seen it. One thing I have never seen is that when something like this happened, that no one at the party knew about it. Particularly in high school, you know how well teenagers keep their mouths shut.

There is also a Columbia, MD about 30 minutes north of DC.

A tax lien for over a $100k would be especially if the person’s salary was well below that. I had to deal with a situation where that happened.

Sounds like you needed a better hiring manager. No way would I ever require people to take polygraphs as part of their employment. Hire people you trust, or don't hire them at all.

He’s referencing country clubs. The next day says “congressional” which is another CC in that area.

So he’s talking about Columbia CC most likely.

Wait, so you've never seen this type of stuff, but you're sure it's common? You need to make up your mind.

Sure would be nice if we had the FBI to look into this. Maybe they could have taken this and uncovered additional facts.

I’m still trying to figure out what “let go of yourself and calm down” means.

I worked in the Friendship Heights metro building in Chevy Chase for 6 years so I know the area well. I’ve attended several events at both of those country clubs.

As far as I saw, it only says Columbia. It looks like there is another character after Columbia that is hard to make out. It might mean Columbia Country Club but it could also be Columbia, Md. Congressional being listed the next day doesn’t mean much unless we’re talking about an inter-club sports league which is common for summer sports in the DC area.

We are now less than 12 hours out from the start of the hearing and I haven’t seen anything that confirms that Dr. Ford will testify, outside of her submitting her opening remarks. There was a big push by Democrats today to delay the hearing but Grassley is pushing ahead with the hearing. We’ll have to wait and see what happens before 10 am tomorrow.

No doubt it can be a problem. Depends on the circumstances. Wife and I also had one for a short period. We got that fixed quickly. We def made a mistake, though it was truly an honest oversight in reporting about 50k in income. Though I promised myself I would not throw my wife under the bus about it. :D

Once again, let go of yourself and settle down. I said
"most", not "all" of the transgressions listed were commonplace. The ones that I was referring to were the ones involved with drinking and partying. I believe that I have made my point perfectly clear WRT to someone pinning a girl down covering her mouth. If I saw that happening, that guy would not be leaving that party on his own effort. I'm sure that real victims of this kind of thing appreciate you taking your time calling the police instead of taking care of the problem yourself.
The fact remains that this allegation is extremely weak. Dr. Ford alleges that Brett Kavanaugh did this to her somewhere in Montgomery County, at an unknown location, on an unknown date, at an unknown time. No one that she has identified as having been at this party have corroborated her accusation. No one at either of the schools has come forward to say that they heard anything about this allegation either at the party, in the days/weeks after the party(and we all know how well teenagers can keep these kinds of things quiet), or in the 36 years since the accusation allegedly happened.

You and your ilk are welcome to "feel" that she is credible all that you want. But the fact remains that there is not a single bit of corroborating evidence that this happened.

Sexual violence is one of the lowest forms of human behavior. Lying about sexual violence is just about as bad.

You've been trying to insinuate that she won't testify for days. Yet, she submitted her opening remarks, sworn affidavits from four people, and her polygraph. She also agreed to testify tomorrow days ago and has never said anything about backing off that. Is it possible she doesn't testify? Yes. However, all signs clearly point to her testifying right now.

Her name dropped this morning, and look at all the dirt they've brought out in about 12 hours. People wonder why women don't report sexual assault. People wonder why women might not want to accuse a powerful man like Kavanaugh of sexual assault. Anyone who isn't squeaky clean gets their name dragged through the mud. Actually, let me correct that statement. Dr. Blasey had her name dragged through the mud with falsities and fabrications, so even if you are squeaky clean (which I can only conclude because they've found nothing real on her), you still get your name dragged through the mud.

I tend not to believe overly sensational stories. Finding it hard to believe about gang raping being at all connected.

Crazy times. I’m holding out my judgement until at least tomorrow. Holding firm that the Pub reaction is unacceptable. Discrediting these women without hearing them out is pathetic. Maybe they’re crazy, maybe they are credible. Who knows yet?

I had an issue with a Marine that had a similar issue. The tax lien was worked out but the security folks needed a lot of documentation before they would review the case. It took over a year and a half to work out.
