My question is who leaked Ford's name to Whelan so that 90 minutes before the WaPo story broke with her name, Whelan was searching Ford's LinkedIn account? Both the White House and Kanvanaugh's camp deny leaking the name. So either someone is lying or the name was given by a knowledgeable third party, like Judge. One way to possibly find out is an investigation. Look at Whelan's computer. Did he search other women on LinkedIn that are the same age who lived in the DC area as a teen? Could these be other potential victims? Maybe, maybe not, but we won't know unless there's a proper investigation.
Political theatre. Kavanaugh has been in numerous, very responsible positions/judgeships and it’s this summer when she makes the accusation. Sorry - if he is the jerk that did such a thing I do not buy that it’s not important enough when he’s “just” a District Judge or other position. Imagine the court was stacked 8-0 with very Left justices. This one appointment wouldn’t tip any balance. Do you think Dr Blasey comes up with this accusation? I do not. No one really wants the truth. Dr. Blasey’s timing is suspicious. Feinstein’s delay is obvious. Pubs want this swept under the rug ASAP for many reasons. And, as stated earlier, it’s a stain on our political life.
Given the facts that she had to move her family, had her name drug through the mud, and received death threats after coming forward, what has Ford gained? What's her motivation for lying assuming she is lying? And what would it take you to undergo what she had experienced. Go ahead and put a dollar figure on it. How much for you to be forced to move, be slut shamed, and receive death threats?
Then I guess Feinstein wasn't smart enough to realize that or she would have mentioned it much sooner. Or she knew it wouldn't fly with that much time & this was her last hurrah.
I wasn't being specific to this case but thats on me for not saying that. I am referencing in general as a society we are condemning people more and more off of mere accusation rather than provable facts. It has been going on for longer more than I have noticed but in the past few years seems to me more of a norm than not.
Bingo. That's it in a nutshell! Don't underestimate what this means for the aspirations of the liberal agenda going forward...much more so than who's in the WH
There must be an investigation.....Whelan went as far as to pin this sexual assault on another innocent party saying it's mistaken identity: Ed Whelan may have just crossed a line he can’t jump back over. Yesterday, Whelan, the president of the Ethics and & Public Policy Center, a conservative think tank, and an assertive supporter of Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, took to Twitter to lay out a Hardy Boys-inspired scenario, suggesting that Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused Kavanaugh of attempted rape in high school, might have been mistaken about the identity of her alleged sexual assaulter. Using a mash-up of yearbook photos, Zillow information, Google Maps and Facebook, Whelan laid out a “case” that another man, a former classmate of Kavanaugh’s at Georgetown Prep—whom he named and provided a current photograph of—might have been the person Ford has in mind. After his wild theory received widespread criticism, Whelan deleted the tweets, and tried to walk back the accusation this morning. Ed Whelan’s Troubles Might Be Just Beginning
Come on, although Christine Blasey Ford's situation is somewhat analogous to that of Anita Hill, if you want to talk about book deals a more appropriate question would be "how much money did Trump's accusers make from their book deals?". Although I haven't researched the issue, it's probably safe to say, "very little". A more rational question would be "if Blasey Ford was motivated by a book deal why did she try to remain anonymous?".
Speaking of Anita Hill and the way Christine Blasey Ford is being dragged through the mud. If we're going to draw an analogy we might as well include the way lies were used to drag Anita Hill through the mud. Author Says He Lied in Book on Anita Hill Excerpt from the article and seems like history is indeed repeating itself. Different Supreme Court nominee, different accuser, somewhat different situation, same tactics by supporters of the nominee.
Because ……………………………………………………………………………………………. she now thinks so. Great ….. destroy a man's reputation and create a multitude of problems for his wife and two daughters because …………………………………………. Ford thinks she was assaulted at age 15 after she'd been drinking?
I have as much knowledge of her opportunity for compensation for making this claim as you have as regards the veracity of her allegation. So …………………….. there you go.
If she thought she was going to remain anonymous, why did she scrub all of her social media accounts?
Uh ….wait a minute. An expert previously opined that it's a scientific fact (or maybe JUST a theory?) people have better, more vivid memories of traumatic events because of how our brains function. I direct you to the following link: Scientists have zeroed in on an answer to why we remember traumatic events better than the mundane. In a study of rats, emotionally arousing events triggered activity in the amygdala, an almond-shaped part of the brain known to be involved in emotional learning and memory. The interaction then triggers production of a protein called Arc in neurons in the hippocampus, a brain region involved in processing long-term memory. The scientists think the Arc protein helps store certain memories by strengthening synapses, the connections between neurons in the brain. "Emotionally neutral events generally are not stored as long-term memories," said Christa McIntyre, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Irvine. "On the other hand, emotionally arousing events, such as those of Sept. 11, tend to be well-remembered after a single experience because they activate the amygdala."
Yes ………………….. recollection of same should be very good: Scientists have zeroed in on an answer to why we remember traumatic events better than the mundane. If you want to be ridiculous, two can play.... Because.................... his politics match yours. Great... destroy a woman's reputation, and create multitudes of problems for her family as they flee death threats, while she has to relive an attack by two drunk guys who she thought might kill her, because.... we have a USSSC seat to protect. How noble.
I would prefer anyone file a police report of wrong doing before making a public accusation. Be it immediately or years later.
