Christine Blasey Ford alleges this event happened sometime in 1982. She alleges there were three people, counting herself, in the room. One of those persons says it never happened, the other says he has no memory of it happening. Ford says she can not remember where and when the alleged incident occurred. She has no physical evidence or other witnesses to support her accusation. Ford did not file a police report, or go to any law enforcement authority, after the alleged incident occurred. She never came forward from the time she says the incident occurred until now, thirty six years later.
Seems to happen alot. I have had 6 long term girlfriends (1+ years) in my life. Three were sexually abused before I met them - molested/raped. Two by family members and a third by an acquaintance. Exactly zero of them told anyone in authority. All 3 would be pissed if said offender was up for SCOTUS.

It’s an overreach to request an FBI investigation - a delay tactic while telling the Senate “I’m going to dictate how this process goes.” CNN’s lead article this morning calls moving forward with the proceedings a “controversial push” by Republicans. I was responding to a post on current political impacts of this woman being aggressively interviewed about her alleged sexual assault. Trump bragged about sexual assault and bragged about ogling nude teen girls. Both of those things confirmed by numerous victims of his behavior. It is a fact that his base just doesn't care about that... or any of his other voluminous character flaws. Deflecting as you do here just confirms it. Even though you're not a Trump supporter, right? Sure.
