Because she is reporting a crime happened, if she really is doing her civic duty she should file a report so it can be investigated by the proper authorities.

Also who says she was talking about BK in 2012? Definitely not her therapist. She could have been talking about anyone since she didn't name any names.

Did any of the women, such as Juanita Broaddrick, file a police report against Bill Clinton? Does than mean it didn't happen? How many women filed police reports against Harvey Weinstein?

    Come on.

    Here were her words:
The Washington Post received parts of the notes from that couples therapy session, which note Ford talking about an attack from “an elitist boys’ school”, attackers who were “highly respected and high-ranking members of society in Washington.”

I guess she was just setting herself up six years ago to allege attempted rape against any of the students from Kavanaugh's school who happened to be high-rankings member of society in Washington? That's quite the plan.

She reported the crime to the media. There's nothing stopping the "proper authorities" from investigating it.

And that could be any number of boys that attended that school or any other elite school in the area.

So why hasn't the local police started an investigation? Oh that's right she can't remember where or when it happened. So no one knows which local authority should investigate.

Occam's razor, dude. You're trying to create a nonsensical conspiracy.

This is a really silly argument. It was in Maryland. Nothing is stopping the state police from investigating if they aren't sure of what locality it was in.

No conspiracy, I just don't believe her.

So why haven't the Maryland police started an investigation?

She knows that it was in a particular country club (Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland). It isn't an issue of jurisdiction.

She accuses Brett Kavanaugh. She happens to have notes from therapy from six years ago that fit Kavanaugh to a T. Her husband says she named Kavanaugh back then. But it's all made up. She was purposefully vague in 2012 because she knew that one of the men from Kavanaugh's school would be nominated or run for a position that she didn't want him to get. It was a brilliant plan six years in the making. Or maybe you're alleging that someone from that school did attempt to rape her and she's just blaming Kavanaugh because she doesn't like his politics?

You have to recognize how preposterous that all sounds.

Ask the Maryland State Police. My guess? Because there's no way to ever prove the crime in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.

So why no investigation by local authorities?

Correct so a life gets ruined over an unprovable accusation.

I'll play amateur psychologist and guess that the mental trauma of a rape might interfere with rational and critical thought. I don't know whether what she is now saying is true or not, but I feel that it is possible that freaking out about it may have impacted the way she handled it. I also believe that falsely accusing someone of rape is very heinous and damaging to the accused if in fact it did not occur. Tough one to call.

By way of example, Gorsuch graduated from that same school two years after Kavanaugh (he’s the same age as the accuser, Kavanaugh is two years older).

If he did it, he is now reaping what he sowed. And I'm inclined to believe her. His life isn't being "ruined."

She described her assailant as older.

And that’s the issue. There’s no way to prove it did or did not happen. It’s her word against his.

I agree she needs to be heard, if she’s willing, but this is high school kids at a party with alcohol a long damn time ago.

I know I did way stupid stuff at parties 30 years ago in high school. She apparently did as well. This is a non issue.

I think what underlies many of the responses (not about Too Hot, but generally speaking) is that their behaviors from long ago, when they were young and much immature will come back to haunt them, especially where accusations of sexual violence is involved. Thus the reflexive response to deny harm, or say it's too late, or to immediately deem her unreliable etc....
