It is also possible that it did happen exactly as she remembered it or close enough that it is functionally the same. That shouldn't be psychologically dismissed by failing to bring that up as a possibility as well.

Umm she has to gain him not being confirmed. There's that.

MAAN » Myths about false accusation
Only about 2% of all rape and related sex charges are determined to be false, the same percentage as for other felonies (FBI). So while they do happen, and they are very problematic when they do, people claim that allegations are false far more frequently than they are and far more frequently than for other crimes. Put another way, we are much more likely to disbelieve a woman if she says she was raped than if she says she was robbed, but for no good reason.
    --------------
Do you treat people who were robbed similarly? "Well, he says that the defendant robbed him, but the defendant disagrees. I don't know which one to believe."

So do a ton of other people. Yet, they aren't accusing him of attempted rape.

Even if we assume that is valuable, let's start with a hypothetical: pick the most important issue to you. Now say that you have the right to change that issue however you want one time. The cost of doing that is that you will have every inch of your life scrutinized, and I do mean everything. Whatever the worst things that you have done or somebody close to you has done will become national news stories. Do you do it?

Again, I'm not taking a position either way on this, but there is no way that this is economically rational to this woman, even if she feels very strongly that Kavanaugh shouldn't be confirmed for purely political reasons.

my first question is do you have proof he robbed you? Like was he caught on tape, is he in possession of the accusors stuff. Without these things it is an unsubstantiated allegation.

Uh, this is the EXACT OPPOSITE of the Winston fiasco.

    Let's compare...
Kinsman reported the rape THAT NIGHT.
This was not reported for 36 years.

Kinsman underwent a rape kit and a SANE nurse said she had trauma consistent with rape.
Blasey didn't report anything again, for many years.

Kinsman had no reason to lie. No ax to grind. Winston hadn't played a down.
This is as partisan and loaded as can be imagined. It could have happened, but by waiting all this time it creates doubt as to her motives. Especially since accuser is a highly partisan person.

Finally, Winston has had a long list of questionable actions. Over and over again.
Kavanaugh has had nothing else on his record. (That I am aware of.) If anything his track record is exemplary. He's had 6 FBI investigations.

Could Winston pass SIX FBI investigations? What a laugh.

Your post is a fail on all counts. The only common factor is that you don't like Republicans, and you don't like FSU.
And you want to see both taken down.

but in terms of facts of the case, they are as opposite as they can be.

Yes, the proof is the person standing in front of you saying, "I saw him rob me." If you think that person shouldn't be considered more credible than the robber denying it, you are not normal.

I don't recall anyone saying that we shouldn't believe Klinsman because she waited 35 years, until it happened to be politically expedient, to bring it up. Which is probably because she called the cops within like 12 hours of it supposedly occurring...

Ok I am saying you robbed me. You say that you didn't. How do I prove you robbed me? Should my word be good enough to ruin your life?

    Not according to this column...
Attack on Kavanaugh Aims to Smear Him Forever | National Review

At the time, Kavanaugh and Mark Judge, the friend she alleges was with him, were both students at Georgetown Preparatory School.

Judge told The Weekly Standard last week that the allegation against Kavanaugh is “just absolutely nuts.” A total of 65 women who knew the judge in high school sent a letter to the Senate last Friday stating, “He has always treated women with decency and respect.”

How about Bill Cosby's victims? How about Weinstein's victims? How about Roy Moore's victims? You're pretty perfectly illustrating why there was a MeToo movement.

That is not a wholly accurate description of the incident. She didn't identify Winston until months later. By that time, Winston was the starting QB and was having his Heisman season. Both Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith went on TV to say that her "timing" stunk (and they weren't alone). The claim by FSU fans was that she wanted money or fame. They claimed that the media was out to get them. Pretty similar actually, at least in terms of reaction to the alleged victim.

Erica Kinsman, who accused Jameis Winston of rape, tells her story in new documentary ‘The Hunting Ground’

Your word should hold more water than mine. Obviously, it still has to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, but false allegations are extremely rare. Credibility should face the person who has less to gain by lying.

You want to point me to the relevant part of the article? I'm not going to read through it.

Serious question- how did you apply this to Bill Clinton?
Because this same standard disqualified him from the Oval Office. Were you beating the drum for him to resign?

All I heard from liberals back then is that the accusations were politically motivated.

And this was from something recent, not 35 YEARS PRIOR.

Do I need to link a dictionary? Proof = evidence. Eye witness testimony is evidence.

Could be. I don't know a thing about her. That is why it is best to wait before speculating.

Bill Clinton is and was a rapist. He had no business being President. Will have to try that whataboutism on somebody else.
