Everything's on the charcoal grill tonight--

Hamburger steaks from a fresh ground boneless chuck roast, grilled asparagus, and grilled/baked potatoes (done just the way I explained it wingtee).

Enjoying a little cooler weather on the back porch today---ice cold longnecks are still my choice today....

Two Boston Butts went on the Egg this morning @ 5:30 AM slow smoking over apple wood smoke. I seasoned them with Butt Rub and Legg's Plantation Brown Sugar Sweet BBQ seasoning.
Ms. Jan's home-made mac & cheese, cream 40's & butter beans are the sides along with fried cornbread.

Afternoon ice cold longnecks are in order while cruising WatchESPN at available games to watch today.

I love both college baseball and college basketball.

Tonight I am making chicken tagine and cous-cous.

    My house smells great.

Here's hoping Ms. Jan's Chicken Alfredo, fresh salad with vine ripe tomatoes and grilled multi-grain garlic bread gets the sour taste of the game out of our mouth today!

Made chilled squid salad yesterday to go with leftover chicken tagine from Friday night.

Today will be seared scallops with spice oil and yellow rice pilaf.

Today I will be grilling two beer can chickens (one for us and one for my very sick friend ... he is living with vegetarians and craves "real food"), making carrot bisque (my son loves it), and sauted rapini with garlic and lemon juice.

Since our Gators came home from Columbia with a series win we will celebrate that tonight by--

Grilling inch and a half thick boneless ribeyes with baked potatoes on the grill along with multi-grain bread and
fresh tossed salad topped with vine ripe tomatoes.

Ice cold longnecks out of the back porch Yeti were ordered by the cook...;)

I have been caramelizing onions for the bisque for 50 minutes. Almost done. Some things in life and cooking cannot be rushed. Usually the best things.

It has been pouring rain in Gainesville for most of the late afternoon. That makes grilling more like a job than a pleasure. Maybe I should get out of these wet clothes and into a (second) dry martini.

    Lurk--

We had an extension cover put in off of our roof to cover all of our back porch and grilling area--it handles the rain pretty well unless wind is against us.

Stay dry and well lubricated my friend.;)
